I loveD this thing.
Updated review: It stopped working suddenly after a year. I'm not sure what happened. It didn't get dropped or anything like that. I switched the batteries and everything else.I absolutely love this little timer. It works well and it's so cute. It's really helped me stay focused when I work on a task and I wouldn't be constantly checking to see how much time was left like I would do with a traditional one.

Suddy helpful
The timer has a pleasing color and its quality is alright. You can easily read the time left and is accurate in showing the time left. It doesn't have a ticking sound and beeps when time is up that also has a volume meeter and can be set to ring for 3 seconds or more.

Bought it to help my kids get a better sense of time
It is somewhat helpful as we incorporate it more often into our daily use. Better than a clock since my littlest one doesn't know how to tell time yet. Works well.

Works well.
Does what it's supposed to and is easy to reset/set the timing to whenever. The only thing I wish was that it didn't beep, or that it had a setting for that.

Great for Pomodoros
I had some incredibly terrible ADHD and I recently learned about the Pomodoro technique/method and decided to give it a try. I saw reviews that said this was much more quiet than typical wind up kitchen timers. I REALLY didn't want to spend nearly $20 on a timer, especially because I was also getting a standard wind up kitchen timer because I wanted to have 2 timers. I have used both timers and like both of them, BUT there are definitely perks to this one:1) "visual timer" - while a typical wind up timer is just as much a visual timer if you can see how many minutes are left where the timer notch is, this one you don't have to be so close to and it's ideal for timing tasks where you have to move around a lot because you can easily see how much time is left from across a large room.2) it's QUIET- while some people complain about it not being silent, I certainly can't say I heard mine making a bunch of noise, and if you have awful ADHD like I do, it's MUCH easier to concentrate on something (especially reading/writing) without that loud anxiety triggering "tick tick tick tick tick" from a wind up kitchen timer. Sure, that can be good for folding laundry or any menial tasks that you'd like to try and do more quickly as you listen to what sounds like the typical 90's Michael Bay action movie countdown timer on a bomb that has to be disarmed and there's only 7 seconds left and you can't decide if you're going to cut the blue wire or the red wire. But if you don't necessarily want to have that level of angst, then you should probably choose this one.3) OPTIONS- you can have the alarm be really loud, or not really loud. Or you can have it go off for a few seconds or nah you continuously for 30 seconds. Either way, it's also nice to have a big "snooze style button" on the top to turn it off. And if you have children that nap and you want to try the Pomodoro thing without waking them up, you'll really appreciate the volume option. All in all, for being a really cheap person and hesitating for quite a while before biting it and just getting this timer (especially because I got the cute one with the star and night sky theme) I find myself really just using this timer and rarely use the loud wind up one unless I'm trying to motivate myself to do something I truly hate. But it's also to get a more accurate timing of how long certain tasks take you as typically performed when you use one you don't hear. I don't regret getting it.

Timer
The timer turns on, red light shows. BUT, it won’t count down.

Ordered two, one arrived broken
I ordered two of these to use in my classroom and one did not work at all. The o e that works does its job but I will warn the alarm sound is really annoying.

Llegó defectuoso
Como otros comentarios de aquí mencionan, funciona la alarma y el foquito de la pausa, pero el contador no avanza. Necesitaré regresarlo esperando un reembolso.

Your kids can reset it!
It needs 2x AAA batteries. You turn the knob and it counts down for up to an hour. My kids seem to respond well to it. You can have a loud or quiet alarm, as pictured, and I think 3 or 60 seconds which seems random! I put it on the TV stand. It is literally a piece of perspex that you physically turn round to show the colour and retreats in a gap behind the white dial. My kids (1 ADHD) respond better at bedtime or leaving the house. There can be time blindness in ADHD. Note when I got it the kids just added more time to cheat it!

Very useful!
This timer has a very light ticking sound and an effective beeping "alarm". The alarm is gentle and not jarring or startling, which is what makes it such a useful tool for time management.
