I’ve been very happy with this laundry detergent and appreciate the simpler ingredient approach compared to many traditional detergents. It cleans clothes well while leaving them feeling soft and comfortable to wear. The lavender scent is pleasant without being overpowering, and a little goes a long way, giving the bottle good duration. I’ve had no issues using it on sensitive skin, which is a major plus for my household. I also like that it is environmentally friendly and appears to prioritize safety without sacrificing cleaning performance. Considering the quality, skin compatibility, and amount of detergent you get, I think it offers excellent value for money.

LOVE finally finding a laundry detergent highly rated by EWG etc with a great human and environmental safety profile, pleasant fragrance, palatable price point (per ounce). Fragrance can be allergenic and even relatively toxic, but this one appears far safer than most. fyi I also use the unscented 9 Elements version, and it smells far more pleasant than "unscented" ECOS etc. This lavender is more pleasant than other EWG-applauded (albeit slightly less applauded) lavender, citrus, or wildflower products I've tried. (Extensively researched and experimented, notable time and expense involved, over recent years--esp noting that the top-cleaning top-rated US product a few years ago is banned in the EU due to human toxicity, how quickly ingestion of a single pod can kill, noticing two pods caused allergic skin reactions in our family, knowing a number of people who seem to have skin allergies to Oxi-containing laundry cleaning products). I don't do laundry of rough tumble kids anymore, but my house-yard maintenance clothes seem pleasantly clean and fresh. Soft enough, even without using fabric softener. Figures since vinegar is supposed to be a (or the) top safe cleaning ingredient. Because I don't use some of my clean laundry for very long periods sometimes, I prefer the lavender scent to offset how clothes etc smell if washed in unscented, then not worn for over maybe a year. But a few guests sometimes prefer no scent for various reasons, so I have unscented available. (fyi laundry detergent isn't meant to be stored for long periods due to decreasing efficiency of ingredients; however, I've never noticed a problem for decades when I didn't know this.) I used cold water, as evidence-based globally recommended (except in rare circumstances: just as efficient, if not better, to use cold water; however, I use a very hot dryer to kill dust mites or potential ticks on rare occasions). Relatively far less sticky residue if I accidentally fill detergent he (high efficiency) machine dispenser all the way to indicated line (fyi less is generally wiser). I've ordered quite a few liquid products and read a lot of reviews; there's always a chance of spillage. The lids are virtually always taped up, which usually works. Out of four delivered 92oz 9 Elements liquid detergent orders, only one apparently caused major problems on a UPS truck and went back to wherever truant products end up at. The replacement I just ordered did leak a little, so it was tricky to correctly recycle the soiled cardboard box is arrived in. (fyi I try not to order anything vulnerable at the same time, to avoid damage to additional products ordered.) Maybe taping the lid plus a closed plastic bag (as much as I hate to use plastic bags, so idk . . . but, of course, I find a use for the plastic bag . . . waste basket liner, etc :)) Hats off and big thx to 9 Elements!!!

Great value for the bottle size. Has helped wonders with my clothes and the lack of harsh smells keeps it from bothering me. I love the environmental friendliness it adds too. Now just need to make the bottles out of bamboo or seaweed plastic so I can compost them into my flower beds

I would definitely call this detergent a better choice, but not the best eco option — and here’s why. ➕ What I really like I do laundry very often, mostly my child’s clothes, so performance matters a lot to me. + You need a very small amount, even for tougher loads. As a result, one bottle lasts a long time + It cleans well — clothes come out truly clean and fresh (I’ve attached a photo showing how much detergent I use for a regular load, and it’s really minimal. Even with that small amount, the results are consistently good) ➖ Why it’s not “best” Despite the “natural” and “vinegar-powered” marketing, the formula isn’t fully clean: - It contains synthetic surfactants, which are considered safer than conventional ones but are still not fully natural or perfectly biodegradable - It also uses a synthetic fragrance — and honestly, the lavender scent doesn’t smell like real lavender at all, more like a generic floral scent So while it’s safer than standard mainstream detergents, it doesn’t reach the level of a truly pure eco formula. Why I keep buying it anyway? I’ve tried fully eco / non-toxic detergents, and unfortunately: they don’t clean nearly as well, especially for kids’ clothes and they come with a much higher price tag :( Compared to that, this detergent feels like a smart compromise between performance, value, and improved safety. Final thoughts If you want a detergent that: actually works/ lasts a long time/ and is a step up from traditional laundry chemicals this is a good better-choice option. Just don’t expect a perfectly clean ingredient list or a truly natural lavender scent.

I actually love this detergent. I like natural ingredients but I also like my detergent to have a scent. This gives both! Leaves clothes feeling clean and not over chemicalized like tide products do. Have reordered several times now and will continue to do so.

I love this detergent because it takes out all the odors. I use the lavender scent and it’s not over powering. You really can’t smell the vinegar and that’s what takes the odors out. My husband is a cyclist and it’s the first detergent that took out the odors without covering them up.

My dog has really sensitive skin so I decided to get laundry detergent just for his clothes and dog beds. The smell of the detergent right out of the bottle is kind of weird but once the clothes are washed they smell good. It does have a slight vinegar smell but once it's washed you can't smell it anymore. I don't normally use the caps when putting the detergent in but this I did for several loads mainly because I wanted to see how much I actually needed to get the clothes clean. The one load I did had a couple dirty towels that had a bunch of dirt from drying my dogs off after they came in from playing outside. I used just below the first line and it got out all the dirt out of the towels. The directions say to use just below the second line but I used half that and the stuff came out clean. I always try to use as little as possible to make things last longer and you really don't need much of this. I'll probably end up trying the other scents to see what they're like. Definitely a good buy!
