Product does well for intended purpose.
My reason for purchasing this pump is I needed a submersible pump to flush 2 gallons of 5% white vinegar solution through a Navien NPE-A02 tankless water heater for 45 minutes for corrosion control. This water heater is a new installation and the flush is only needed once a year for residential usage. I performed this a few months after installation to gain experience on how long the process takes, what I need to perform this myself, and how much of a mess it might be. The instructions are generic as this pump can be used for a wide-range of applications; when instruction steps conflict, use the conservative instructions for the equipment or appliance you're running fluid through; it's much more expensive to replace a tankless water heater ($10,000) than a submersible pump ($150). The pump casing has black paint on yellow plastic. The paint is easily smeared and wiped off, but it's cosmetic; pumps used for this type of application are expected to become dirty and covered in whatever residue or sediment is in the fluid is being pumped. This kit includes a yellow hard-plastic wrench to open the top, but it's unnecessary; The lid seals are designed to be peeled off by hand, and the four edges can be pulled outward by hand to remove the lid. Hoses are colored red and blue but are equally useable. This kit includes extra rubber gaskets. These gaskets should be used to prevent leaks at hose connections. Hose connections should only be hand-tight unless the instructions say otherwise you you're connecting to a pressurized system; for my usage the tankless water heater was isolated from the house's water supply (120psig) and was open to atmosphere (The pump takes from the bucket and gives back into the bucket.). Important note about the 2 black hard-plastic adapters mentioned in the instructions: Hand-tighten only! Do not over-tighten! The adapters can crack and leak if too much force is applied! Only one of the adapters is needed; it connects the pump outlet to the hose. This may not be the pump for your usage if you need to connect it to a high-pressure system! Pump has no on/off button; Just plug it in to start and unplug to stop. The pump and cable can be submerged in liquid, but the electrical connection to the 120V source must not get wet for your safety. If the pump needs to be in a fluid that is deep (like a pool, tank, etc.), attach a long rope to the plastic loop built into the pump case; This pump does not float and will sink. For electrical safety, make sure the pump isn't submerged so deep the pump's electrical plug is submerged; Some users will use extension cords rated for use outside (and that's ok), but remember the connection plugs and sockets should not be wet or submerged. The pump is fairly quiet; It's as loud as an aquarium filter pump. You'll know immediately if the pump is moving water. A card is included in the kit that shows the different flow rates at different heights in-case you have to move water vertically some distance in pipes or hoses. Once it's running and moving fluid, I recommend continuously monitoring it if the fluid doesn't go back to the pump suction, or checking on it every few minutes if the fluid is coming right back into the suction (See video). If the fluid source's level drains completely, the pump will run out and shut off to protect itself, but doing that repeatedly will burn out or melt the motor windings over time. When that happens, you have to replace the pump. An important note about using this pump not mentioned in the instruction is that you MUST PRIME THE PUMP BEFORE USE. Failure to do this WILL result in no flow (Pump runout condition; pump impeller is spinning an air pocket as fast as it can instead of the fluid.) and after a few minutes the pump shuts off due to overheating the motor windings. DOING THIS REPEATEDLY WILL CAUSE FAILURE OF THE PUMP (Instructions mention this part.). The instructions say the pump must be submerged in fluid, but that's it. To prime the pump, tilt the pump to the side while the bottom end of it is in the fluid until bubbles rise to the surface. When the bubbling stops, start the pump. You will hear the pump take suction on the fluid. Fluid should immediately exit the pump outlet and go through any hoses connected to the pump's outlet. If you hear the pump energize and spin but there's no flow, the pump is spinning an air pocket at the impeller and rapidly heating the motor windings. Turn off the pump and again tilt the pump to remove more air bubbles from the impeller. Cleaning the pump's impeller and black suction strainer is easy; A Philips-head screwdriver is needed to remove the black hard-plastic suction strainer. Rinse, scrub and remove any debris and replace. Overall this product does well for it's intended purpose and should serve you well provided you respect it's limits.

Complete, Easy-to-Use Kit โ Made Flushing Simple
This kit has everything you need to flush a tankless water heater without making multiple trips to the hardware store. The pump is plenty powerful, the hoses fit perfectly, and the bucket size is just right for the job. I especially liked that it came with adapters, washers, and even a bucket lid opener, which shows someone actually thought about the full process. Setup was straightforward and the pump ran smoothly the entire time. If youโre even moderately handy, this kit will save you a lot of money compared to calling a plumber. Solid build quality and great value โ highly recommend

Worked great
Used to flush my tankless water heater. Easy to use, everything you need in one bucket. I used a bigger bucket to flush mine, but the bucket is good to keep everything in.

Annual On demand water heater maintenance kit
It works! Everything needed included except the vinegar. Colored hoses, red and white, makes it easier to keep track of which hose is which. Bucket is exactly the right size.

Super quiet and easy to use
Works as it should. Bucket is perfect size if doing a rv water heater. Has plenty of water flow to get the get the descaling solution through the system. Had to pull the return line out of the bucket to make sure it was pumping because basically no noise. Nd if you can put a garden hose on your house then you can do this itโs that easy. Only draw back is you have to cut the hose end off one end of each hose if using on a rv water heater because the rv has 1/2 fip fitting other then that great product

Worked great for descaling Navien tankless water heater
Worked great for descaling my Navien tankless water heater. I picked up a couple of small jugs of double-strength (10%) cleaning vinegar from a store nearby, this kit had everything else I needed. I was a bit worried about the pump being too weak as the GPH rating was lower than some other small pumps I've seen commonly used for this, but actually it was perfect, the flow rate seemed pretty decent without being so strong that the hoses would fly around. Actually, when flushing the water heater with water afterwards the water pressure from my house's water supply was so high that it made the hose want to fly around so it was really difficult to hold the hose at my laundry sink's drain (but that's not a problem with this kit, I don't really see any way around that), so it's good that for the descaling portion this pump isn't overly powerful. This kit was significantly more cost effective than buying the individual parts either on Amazon or at local hardware stores, I also had some concerns about the correct hose sizing to connect to both my water heater and most of the available submersible pumps as they seem to often have different sizes, but in this kit everything was the correct size and came with the right adapter.

Good kit ๐
Works as described. Perfect flow rate, not too slow, not too fast. Easy to set up and packs nicely into the bucket it comes in for easy clean storage. All the accessory hoses are standard GHT that should fit your tankless water heater, they seem to be good quality.
