We were using another brand, which was also a good price. We wanted to try the food safe bucket. We like this product as much as the Microingredients Xylitol which we used for many years. We would clearly buy ANY Xylitol which was made from corn, which is much more sustainable for our environment. We've looked at all brands available on Amazon, but found none made from corn. We'd like to be able to have less impact on environment.

For me I think this is the best sugar substitute. The taste is comparable to sugar. No stomach upset. The texture is fine it dissolves really well and in any liquid. We add it to Kool-Aid. I don't like the way the sugar makes me feel in Kool-Aid. But the xylitol has no lingering affect or anything. From what my studying has shown that this is good for your teeth and your mouth flora.

Prodkuct good value and good consistency. However, container very difficult to open. Has a zip strip but after pulling it, still not open and took extra work with tools.

Xylitol doesn't spike blood sugar and it doesn't promote tooth decay, it's actually good for your teeth! I've been using it for 'pulling' so it sits in my mouth for at least 5 minutes. The first brand of Xylitol I bought was great, super fine crystals, melted quickly and was great! I needed a more economical way to buy this because I plan on using it for years to come. This bucket of it was the least expensive. This brand has larger crystals which take longer to melt so if you're looking for something very fine that melts in room temp liquids, I doubt this would do it. But for my purposes, it's great!

It's an all natural sweetener made from birch bark that's low glycemic. It's also used in gum because it keeps bacteria from sticking to your teeth and throat. Tastes just like regular sugar.

Love this sugar substitute. No after-taste. May not be right for all users since some people have had negative results. For me it’s been a wonder.
