20W8ΩJ Cement resistor

The cross overs that came with the ref-375tx kit so installed these and two caps behind. Amazing sound and so soft now coming from the tweeters. Was so harsh before. These do a great job and fit in really tight spots.

I used a dusk-to-dawn 12V power supply* with three 3-ohm ceramic exterior, wirewound resistors in series (16W total, slightly more than 5W dissipated per resistor) per cold frame for heat during the winter. Essentially, these cold frames become small green houses. I started with 10W resistors, but they got hot enough that they scalded the plants if they touched them. These 20W resistors have enough surface area that the surface gets warm, but not scalding with the same ~5W dissipation.Happily, although some plants die anyway, I start getting fruit in late June instead of late August and they keep producing into December.*from Amazon: I started with DEWENWILS 60W 120V AC to 12V DC Outdoor Low Voltage Transformer with Timer and Photocell Light Sensor, for two cold frames;then went to SMY Lighting 100W Outdoor Low Voltage Transformer with Timer and Photocell Sensor,120V AC to 12V DC when I added more cold frames and, obviously, more resistors, for four cold frames.I try to run at half the rated power, even though it is cold in the winter

I put these, along with an inline bass blocker, on my Kicker 3.5" CS series coax dash speakers on my 22 WRX.It really helped balance out the sound with my new 6x9s that share the same front channel as the dash speakers.

Yup, they resist as expected within tolerance. Handle power ok although I put them on a heat sink for good measure.

I put two of these resistors in series, giving me 10 ohms. Use to test the ripple of a power supply under a load of about 1 amp. Use oscilloscope to measure the ripple.

Needed for repair on watercraft. Worked great and saved me $300.

They work like resistors. The leads are a bit small as far as the wire gauge goes.
