It keeps the dry

It seems well constructed and sturdy. That said, I put some matches and a bit of material to start a fire in it to throw in my pack a few months ago... after checking it a few days ago, it wouldn't open without a pair of pliers. Not sure if this was related to a change in temperature or what yet. I will check it again soon to see if it happens again. I have a pair of pliers that I carry with me in a multitool in my pack anyhow but it would be a bad night for anyone who didn't that was relying on this to keep supplies for easily starting a fire when they got lost / stuck somewhere and couldn't open it to do so.

This product is sized in a manner that allows for multiple storage applications (fire gear, fishing kit, medications, etc.). The length of the 1.0 B.A.S.E. Case is also suitable for the storage of rolled up US paper currency (roll currency, insert into cap, screw to main body). To personally test for water-proofing, the case was filled with bath tissue and the cap snugged. The case was then anchored at the bottom of a nine inch water column for a period of 20 hours. Upon removal from the water, the exterior of the case was wiped dry. The case was then opened. The tissue contained within the case was found to be perfectly dry. Given the reasonable price of this product, one could justify keeping multiple "kits" in various locations (vehicle, pack, hunting vest, etc.).

Very lightweight, nice visual design. A lot roomier than many items in the same category, which is why I bought it. It's pretty big for a keychain item - I wouldn't want to carry it in my pants pocket for too long - but no problem in a coat pocket or similar. Worth noting: the threads on the screw top make this awful screeching when attaching or removing the lid, so if you're a hunter or a spy or a guy who doesn't want his coworkers to know he's taking a bunch of meds, you might want to shop around

This container is long enough to hold the longer storm proof matches and big enough to carry more than the smaller version. As with many of this type container, it will be as good as the O-ring used as a weather barrier.

Great small case watertight for pills, emergency cash – what not as long as it requires a small container. Are use mine to store my shooting earbuds. I wish the carabiner O-ring and hole for the O-ring were all just a slightly larger size and shipped with ones that were a little bit more robust. I would not trust this case on the outside of the pack or on my belt or keys until after I had replaced those two parts. Now it rides as a part of a zipper pull on my range back

The threads on this capsule aren't very smoothly machined, but it does serve my purpose well. I'm able to squeeze a USB key, and a 6" OTG cable in.

It's much larger than the pictures convey. I used this to hold ibuprofen while I was snowboarding but, this could very well be used for storing matches or other small objects you would like to keep dry. I would not recommend carrying this on a keychain or in a pants pocket due to its large size but, it would be perfectly suited for use in a bag or jacket pocket.

Compré este recipiente para usarlo como pastillero y debo decir que está bastante bien para este propósito. Las dimensiones son de 4x2cm. Lo suficientemente pequeño para llevarlo cómodamente a cualquier lado y suficientemente grande hasta para 8 o 10 pastillas. El recipiente cuenta con una argolla tipo llavero que lo hace sumamente portable; se supone que es hermético aunque no lo he probado. Artículo recomendable.

Tengo 2 de estos de diferentes tamaños, son perfectos para pastillas. No les entra el agua aunque los sumerjas. No se han abollado, no han dejado la pintura y la goma que tiene en la tapa para aislante no se ve que se vaya a desgastar pronto. Excelente producto
