Samsonite OpenRoad Laptop Business Backpack, Space Blue, 15.6-Inch

This is a great, well-made bag. I’ve taken the bag on 10+ business trips and it looks the same as new. I wanted something small that could fit under seats in front of me, keep my entertainment and snacks etc easily available during a flight, and secure over the handles of a roll aboard. This is perfect. This bag is small but packs a big punch. It’s rated for 13” laptops but my 15” MacBook Pro fits snugly in the laptop compartment, along with my iPad Air. The main compartment of this bag is intentionally small- not meant for lots of clothing. I usually fit a single Patagonia pullover, my toiletries bag, and my Bose Headphones in their case. I’ve just pushed the internal dividers to the back of the compartment to use it as one space since there’s not really a lot of space to divide in the first place. The magic of this bag is the many external pockets and zippers. You can keep yourself organized and fit a lot more than the small bag would suggest. One pocket for keys, one for pills, one for pens, one for my chargers, etc. It makes stressful work travel less hectic and more normalized. Aesthetically, the bag gets a surprising number of compliments - even from TSA handlers. The only thing I’d change is that the thickness of the material on the front pockets sometimes highlights the items that are inside - aka it can look lumpy or lopsided depending on how you pack the outside pockets (this doesn’t impact durability only aesthetics - after one or 2 trips I’d figured out how to pack to avoid this).

I needed something to use for work travel that would look nice but also be big enough to carry computer, speakers, and projector as needed. I got the 15 inch one and it’s just right, it’s tight to pack the projector but it fits with everything in there. Not only that it looks really great and doesn’t look too over-sized on my frame. Also, the straps are super comfy and help manage the weight well. I love all the pockets, especially the one with the key-ring, it makes me feel secure knowing where my car keys will be during a trip. Overall this was a great purchase!

I've had Samsonite backpack Xenon for something like 10 years and decided to try a different design. This is a superb bag which reminds me of the Tumi Alpha Bravo but a much cheaper option. The quality of thr zippers looks premium and there are many pockets which makes this a very practical day to day bag.

The backpack feels firm and sturdy. There are many partitions and almost everyone of them has zippers, so much so that you would forget where you put your stuff. Each zipper feels like a decent one at that. The lining and cushion feel decent but not for heavy impacts including the bottom lining. This is a business backpack not a road trip warrior or camper. It is a bit misleading for fitting 17.3" laptop. It cannot fit my 17.3" gaming laptop in the sleeve no matter how much I stretch it. I think it would only fit a 17-inch slim laptop (who would carry a gaming laptop for a business trip?, I would). I can store my laptop outside the sleeve. My High Sierra backpack can fit my 17-inch and 15-inch altogether but not this one. Since the linings inside are divided into many smaller partitions, it will be harder to pack thicc clothes. It would be perfect if you have many office stuff. For the full price, I would give it 4 stars. If it is well under $100, I give 4.5 stars. I want to take it for a ride but unfortunately I have to wait until the lockdown is over.

Was looking for a backpack to travel with on short business trips via plane. Wanted something professional, durable, sleek, and not too masculine. Love this backpack- the finishes on it feel luxurious and its much more well made that the other brand that costs 3 times the price (starts with "T"). Love the pockets on the outside for stuffing water bottle into and the sleeve on the inner side that lets you slip it over your suitcase handle. Makes zipping thru the airport a breeze. Thumbs up!

I got the black one in the smaller size and it is so roomy with so many pockets. It holds everything I need it to including my laptop, multiple pairs of sunglasses, lunch, paperwork… Anything you need to fit in here it will hold it! I also tried out the larger size and while it was nice it was more of an overnight bag as you could put clothes in it as well. I didn’t need all of that but I think that would also be a nice option for someone looking for an overnight bag. If you’re just looking for a laptop bag will hold all of your daily goodies to go to work than the smaller size is perfect

I have carried a so called "Man Bag" for the last several years. Some of them backpacks, some messenger bags, I even tried a bait and tackle bag for a while. But this bag is my favorite so far. Material is good and sturdy, not to big or small, and pockets galore. My 15in laptop fits easily and still has room for lots of stuff. Only thing I would change is a bigger side pocket for bottled water.

Seems like a high quality, well thought of bag. I like the design. Missing an integrated TSA lock. Also, I hate the big Samsonite label at the bottom of the bag. The branding should have been much more restrained.

A pesar de que ya tiene más de medio año de uso, está como nueva. Muy resistente, con varios compartimentos que permiten organizar las cosas adecuadamente.
