Perfect glass for beer

High quality glasses that look good too. These made a perfect birthday gift.

Arrived when they said they would and in great condition. The glass is really fine and has a ring to it, like a fine wine glass when tapped. Very pleased with the purchase though given their quality and fine glass nature, I’m not sure how long they’ll last from a dishwasher or breakage perspective, but if you’re looking for up-market beer glasses, these certainly don’t disappoint.

These are the only thin beer glasses I have tried, but I can say that they do influence the flavour of beer, just as Riedel wine glasses affect the taste of wine. Previously, I have usually drunk beer from thick, heavy glass tankards, which feel appropriate if you are with a group of mates, for example. But using these on my own at home, I was able to detect more flavour in the beer. It is worth giving them a try, though the price does seem a bit high - ten pounds or less per glass would feel better. Also, I wonder if a longer stem would be better?

This review refers to the beer glasses. The brim is so thin, and not rounded or curved, that it feels like it slightly cuts into your mouth when you drink from them. At the same time the foot is very wide, just like the Spiegelau glasses, which to me is not comfortable in the hand (although more stable on the table, for those who have a habit of knocking the glasses about). On top it all, one of my glasses had a small manufacturing defect on the stem. Made in Germany and a high price does not mean quality in this case. I will now buy a new pair, because I don't enjoy drinking from these. Most reviews on Amazon are almost useless. I rarely write reviews and I know what I'm talking about in this case because I've used these glasses several times a week for more than three months, and I have also used other glasses before.

Great product

One of the boxes had 1 glass that was broken but Amazon was very good in the replacement since we were using a courier company (they were great too) to ship the items to Seoul, South Korea. The glasses are wonderful for price. I think it is well made and as mentioned, you could use it either for water or beer. Weighted slightly at the stem and you will not feel it is too delicate because if it. Most people are happy to drink beer out of the bottle or can these days, but it will be so nice to have them on the table visually plus it's more classy to drink out of a glass :-)
