Just what is neded with my new IPad.

There is a lag between audio starting (on the phone) and the sound being transmitted to the 3.5mm jack output, which means that unless you're listening to something continuous (like a song), the audio continually cuts out, in quiet periods or momentary pauses. This means that it is completely useless for anything like audiobooks or other spoken audio, as you miss the first second or two of every sentence as the audio stops, in the pause between them.

The headphone connection worked fine but when trying to plug in a charger they hardly worked. May have just bee a faulty set but wouldn't buy again

Handy splitter that allows you to plug in wired headphones/earphones into a newer USB C type phone, without a 3.5mm headphone jack. Most manufacturers do this nowadays. I have tested this with my S22 and it works perfectly. Although the little box itself is quite small, it's a drag if you're wandering around with it connected, but fine when sitting down. I have this by the side of my bed. I can plug in my favourite pair old (very) old Sony headphones and charge my S22 at the same time. Works perfectly. No charging or sound issues to report so far.

This works perfectly with my 15 Pro Max. It lets me charge while using wired headphones. I want to use cheap wired ones during a long stay in hospital that’s coming up, in case they disappear, as my expensive Bluetooth ones did last time. They’ll be used mainly for TV and Radio 4, not music, so cheap ones are fine. I wonder why they insist on selling a pack of two? Can’t see many people wanting more than one. £10.99 is reasonable enough if you do happen to need two but too much if you only need one.
