My16 year old son who plays varsity football said that the extra pads help protect him from hits in practice. He said he would give it a 5 but this shirt traps the sweat and it rolls down his back instead of absorbing it like the other shirts he has used. He is planning to use it everyday!

Holding up well even with daily use by a lineman
My son wears this several times a week for football. Fits well and he says it does give him a little added protection. He is 6ft 175# varsity lineman so he needs all he can get! We are half thru regular season with the shirt being put to the test almost daily and it's holding up well, no issues with quality.
