Chicago weather has not been the warmest, especially as a spectator at evening little league softball games. I needed something that kept me and the Misses warm on the cool nights, be somewhat waterproof, be compact and easy to transport, and be able to be thrown in the washer (softball field dirt gets everywhere). Well folks, this hits all the marks! One side is a very soft blanket and the other, a tough blue (mine's blue anyway) nylon-like material that would remind you of a thick rain coat. Water runs right off the blue side while the soft side keeps you warm. We love that we can sit in our own camping chairs, be adequately covered, and not be fighting trying to get more blanket. About the washing; sure enough, the first game we used it, my daughter wrapped it around herself on the way to the car after the game...dragging it through everything you could imagine along the way. Washed it with bath towels. Came out just like new. Lastly, the surprise feature - the storage bag it goes in. One of my biggest gripes when buying things that store in draw string bags; they are ALWAYS too small! VERY frustrating to stuff it back where it belongs. Thankfully, this manufacturer gives you a bag that is just right. You don't have to be some sort of folding ninja to get this blanket put away. Fold it whichever way and put it in the bag. Done! This is one terrific blanket! You will not be dissapointed.

My older dog has been dealing with bladder incontinence and I had been looking for a large waterproof blanket to use on my bed at night, but I didn’t want to pay $60+ for a relatively small blanket that was “specially made” for pets or that got mixed reviews. While she uses diapers, the diapers can leak and I end up having to change out all of my bedding. I started looking at stadium blankets and picnic blankets and stumbled upon this one and it has been wonderful - and saved me countless loads of laundry. A few notes: - The first time it’s washed and dried (on low), the fuzzy side does stick to itself (on the inside/backing - the fuzzy size isn’t quilted/attached to the other side). If you gently smooth it out, it isn’t really an issue again after further washes. - I’ve been using it fuzzy-side up and have not had any leaks (that weren’t due to my dog’s re-positioning during the night where her bottom has been off of the blanket) - it’s contained her pee 100%. - I wasn’t able to find a better-priced blanket that was this size - and it really is waterproof, even after several washes. I have been really, really impressed with the blanket and am buying another to have as a spare for my couch.

Family planned an evening for a movie at the park but forecast called for rain the morning of. We quickly found this awesome blanket on Amazon the day before and got the 1 day shipping. This blanket worked out great! Park/grass was wet from the rain earlier in the day but we were able to stay nice and dry. The side that is up is really soft and comfortable and kept us completely dry. Big enough for our family of two adults and two toddlers to lay and play comfortably. Also comes with a little pack-able bag to store easily. Overall we are very happy with this product and can see us getting a lot of use out of it. Our family recommends.

We used it while picnicking in Central Park on a breezy day, in the shade of the forested area. It was quite chilly until we got under the blanket. It's wind protection and warm inner layer did the trick. Recommended for those who frequent the parks and when the weather is unpredictable.

I originally purchased this product because I was looking for a waterproof blanket for my pets (rabbits) to use in their enclosure and this blanket was much more reasonably priced than blankets that are marketed as "pet blankets". I've purchased many waterproof pet blankets in the past, and honestly, this one is one of my favorites because of how large it is and it is ACTUALLY waterproof, which is the most important thing. In addition though, it is incredibly soft on the top side, which I was not expecting, and my bunnies love it. Because of how soft and durable it seems, I purchased another for myself 2 days later to use for the park while sitting on grass. It is perfect for this and also comes with a nice carrier bag so is easy to cart around. Overall I love this product and will buy again when my bunnies inevitably destroy it, although surprisingly they haven't been able to chew holes through it yet (like so many other blankets I have purchased for them), most likely due to its durability.

This blanket is great for all outdoor activities, it is very water resistant and will stop your pants from getting wet, plus the soft side is very soft and not abrasive. Fits 2 people comfortably, or you can fit up to 4 on it if you squeeze. Machine washable and decently durable. I haven't machine dried it but I would recommend air drying to avoid damaging the waterproof nylon side. Only complaint is that the blanket is very thin and light, it offers basically no padding and can easily blow away in high winds, but really its main purpose is to keep you dry and it does a very good job at that! 😁

A decent blanket for “occasional use. Durable enough but edge trim may not last too long. Blanket is pretty stiff so won’t be comfortable as a wrap. The clothe side is not substantial enough to provide a lot of warmth... but this blanket as a whole, will do a great job as a drop blanket or as an emergency blanket.

I purchased this because I have a sweet kitty who will occasionally pee on the bed. I keep a tarp over the bed when i am not in it, and some pee pads on top and that had been working. When she decided to pee on the bed while I was in it... I needed a new solution. I didn't want to sleep under a tarp, and this seemed like a good option. My thinking was to put it over my regular blanket, waterproof side down and blanket side up, so that if Gracie pees on it it doesn't just roll off but instead absorbs into the blanket side. I think this would have worked, but she never put it to the test. The problem was that while I am sleeping there is a condensation thing happening between my regular blanket and the waterproof side of this stadium blanket. After sleeping under it a few nights I realize that it is not the solution I needed, BUT it's perfect for any situation where you need waterproof on one side and soft blanket on the other. Even folds up nicely and comes in a carrying bag! I will use it, just not for sleeping under.
