Job done - great product
Job done - great product. My job was to cover a very tired home working office type chair. After several years of hard wearing the cloth top had work to the point of being thread bare. I purchased a fabulous piece of maroon soft leather from ebay. It was slightly too small. What product to use to glue it together? I remembered copydex from a long time ago and there were some good reviews. How much would I need? Chair dimensions around 0.5 m front to back and 0.5 m side to side. Result after a few days of trimming, patching and sticking - see photos. Product quantity used nearly all of a 250 ml pot. One ever - so minor gripe is that after the pot empties beyond half way the cap-stirrer-brush no longer reaches the product. You can work it OK by shaking the pot but towards the end I was simply pouring and using the brush to spread. The instructions are good. My application was absorbent cloth to non-absorbent leather - good layer of glue on both surfaces and letting dry for 15 minutes worked well

Use it with some care and it will be excellent
Use for any natural material or man made fabric, paper, card, wood product, not so good for plastic. Forget any application which involves later heat such as repairs to car interiors as these will ultimately fail. I used it to mend some fabric which is wound over wooden spars and it has worked very well albeit a bit smelly (that is normal for Copydex). I was pleased that the lid still had the usual brush attached, just as in the old days! If you use porous surfaces such as paper or wood it needs to be held together straight away, for non porous materials like plastics or fabrics it works better as a contact adhesive, for example let it dry 5-10 minutes before bringing the two surfaces together. I have found it is great for any natural material especially fabrics, paper, card and wood, its a great glue which has proved the test of time and is thoroughly recommended.

Useful Prodauct
I used the adhesive on the spine of a book to glue the pages, it worked well. Since then I've used it to patch-up my gardening trousers and other outdoor items. It is a very useful adhesive.

Rubber latex
For sticking bit's of paper together I tend to use a glue stick. However, when it came to gluing my daughters' school project, the much trusted glue stick, well wasn't up to the job. It did not provide adequate adhesion and strength of the glue was also a factor. The material in question was cardboard and various fabrics. After much reading, I came across Copdex adhesive. This is a versatile glue which can be used on all sorts and grades of paper (within reason) and works well on fabric too. The glue is applied with an applicator which is built into the lid. It has a 'distinctive' smell, not pleasant, however this disappears once dry. When dry, it feels rather like rubber latex. Copydex is suitable for porous (paper, wood) and non-porous (fabric, plastics) surfaces, you just have to be patient and let it dry. For porous surfaces, hold together the glued surfaces until they stick. For non-porous material, let the glue dry out until it becomes tacky, then bring the joining surfaces together. On my daughters boot, there was a rip in the fabric (PVC I think) which I tried to repair using the glue. It did the job but the glue went straight through the other side of the fabric. I'm glad it was on the inside of the boot, otherwise it would have looked rather messy. I suggest you test it on a inconspicuous area before you go all out. If the product is unworthy of a good review, I think it is unfair to leave positive feedback as this can mislead potential buyers. I hope you found the review helpful. Great glue, awful cuntainer
Copydex is a wonderful glue, good for all kinds of things. Unfortunately, the brush supplied only reaches half way down inside the bottle, so to use the bottom half, you either have to keep screwing the lid on and shaking it up to get glue all over the brush, or you have to wastefully decant the glue into a small pot.

Useful product
This product is the most useful thing to have around the home as it has many uses. I am going to put it onto the back of a bath mat to help water proof it.
