Empire of Storms : Maas, Sarah J.: desertcart.in: Books Review: Good quality - Good quality neatly packed and no damage Review: Hell of an emotional ride! - Well, SJM did warn us about this one. So power packed and action filled and great sexy-times! I can hardly put into words the emotions I felt after reading this one. Left me writhing in pain, pain for Aelin, pain for Rowan. The book finally uncovers the 'whys' of everything since Throne of Glass. And Elide (omg), you go girl! All in all, I absolutely LOVED it. Can't wait for the next book! And lastly I would like to say: YOU BRING HER BACK ROWAN! BRING HER HOME!

An engaging read.
What a roller coaster ride this book has been. From the first page, the book keeps us engaged and enthralled. And the number of twists in the tale is amazing. Just that there were a bit too many twists in the middle to make it slightly jarring. Still can't wait for the next (and hopefully last book)

The book's PHENOMENONAL
I just completed reading this book and now am wishing that I I'd never finished it in 3 days, wishing that I'd took it up to 5 days because this book is the best book in the whole series.. The plot the secrets(the revelation of those secrets) left me lamenting... This book is very much like GoT with all the POVs and plot twist and especially the ending, which left me lamenting even after five days.. I finished ToD today and understood why SJM had to write ToD what with Maeve and all... Can't wait foe September 2018..i don't know what I'll do till then but I'll survive, if only to see how it all ends...

Freaking awesome
Very long but it's totally worth the time. The ending left me in tears. I'm ordering Tower of Dawn right away.

I love you Sarah j. Mass💖
Sarah j. Mass is the queen of fantasy. Her writing shatters me and heals me again. Her books are like tomes and this leads me to take breaks between her series, because it has a complex story and I need break sometimes. In conclusion,if you love fantasy genre then it's right up your alley .

Well, shit.
Honestly, I have no idea whether to laugh or cry. This legit left me in tears. Sarah J Maas, why must you do this to us? Probably the best book I've read in 2016. If you've read Queen of Shadows and the prequels, you probably don't want to miss out on this one. It has the best twists and turns and will give you goosebumps and will make you cry. Kudos to SJM!

This book had me in an absolute chokehold the entire time doing the tandem read with Tower of Dawn. It tied in so many things from Assassin’s Blade and all the other books. Loved the friendship/ relationship building in this book and the female badasses throughout. It made me laugh, cry, sit in absolute shock at moments, and tore my heart out at the end. Cannot wait to read the final book!

When you finish Queen of Shadows you think you've reached the apex of the story. What could be better/worse (yes, both) than that? That's when Empire of Storms appears and destroyes all your beliefs. This book was EVERYTHING. Is it perfect? Nah, I have some little criticism, like always. But it was an incredible, heart-wrenching journey. One thing, in particular, stood out to me and made me realize the greatness of Sarah J. Maas: her ability to portray many different characters like they were all MCs. Every person/Fae/something in this book has an articulate, complex story behind him, a complex and faceted personality - they're all so diverse, three-dimensional, genuine, real. Oh my god, they feel so vivid and realistic. And if that isn't enough, Maas intertwines their stories with such ability and expertise it will make you think "no way" . She slowly and carefully crafts every single path, making all of them appear their own, personal stories, just to then make them encounter and join together like the most perfect puzzle. This - in some ways - reminded me a lot of what J.K. Rowling did with Harry Potter and it blew my mind. When each story crosses the others, it's so natural, so well-done it doesn't feel forced at all. Empire of Storms is the apex of this talent of her, it's the series' chapter where you can appreciate this side of Throne of Glass to the fullest. It's the book where you find yourself following many different stories at the same moment, but it's never too much: she knows how to write a story with multiple POVs, she knows how to narrate multiple stories and giving all of them the time and focus they deserve. There's not one single character I felt needed more "screen time", not one that felt a bit shallow, less developed than the others, less important. That's how you do multiple POVs, end of the story. Empire of Storms is the best book in the series so far. The story is crafted almost to perfection!
