Can you vacuum under the bed with this?

I can but my bed is up off the floor for storage. I can vacume under several bookcase where the lower shelves are just four inches off the floor using the hose. Be warned that the suction is strong enough to pick up socks.

What filter does it take?

It comes with a filter that you can wash but then have to wait 24 hours to reinstall. The papers do not say what to get if you want to replace it.

Is it worth getting the full size CleanView? Or should I stick with the compact?

If you have pets, I would definitely purchase the full size. The compact was very small.
