I placed one of my extra SSD into the box and it works very well. Fast copy and read. Hope there could be a condition light so I can tell it’s connected and working. Anyway, that’s not a big problem.

Easy to install the drive work really quickly no problem

The Orico 2.5" HD enclosure USB3.1 is a very lightweight plastic enclosure with no ventilation at all, and so no way for heat to escape to the outside. I wouldn't use it for anything more than small data transfers as I think the HDD would road with subsequent dataloss.

I put a 2.5” mechanical he in it. Got really good speed !

It works, and I was able to see a list of some files that I had stored on an old laptop, but I was not able to access the files. I don't think this is an issue with the enclosure, but I thought I would call customer service to see if they had any suggestions, just in case. In the instruction booklet, it is suggested to call customer service if you need help, but I couldn't find the customer service number anywhere in the booklet. I plan to ask a tech savvy friend for help with this issue. Overall, I think the device does what it says it's supposed to, however, the blue light doesn't come on consistently. Sometimes it's on and I know it's working because I hear the spinning sound and my list of files comes up, but the light is not on. Other times, the light comes on right away and I can hear it working and my list comes up. I just need to be able to access the files. Other than the lights not coming on consistently, for the most part, this enclosure is easy to use ( easy to connect ). As for accessing the files, I will be asking a tech savvy friend for help with that.
