Not as strong as I expected.
I bought these to build a magnetic knife rack. They have very little holding strength through 1/4 inch of bamboo. Also, although less important, they are 1 1/8 inches in diameter, not 1 1/4.

Strong Magnets
Extremely strong. You have to be very careful taking them apart when you get them. Do not pull them apart…slide them apart because they will break easily. I broke one as soon as I opened them.

Strong magnets
Yup they are strong as heck. The adhesion didn’t work great but to be fair I was lazy and didn’t prep the surface too well. I used them to put a box fan in the window and the magnets def were enough to keep in from leaning forward.
