blind buy. vetiver its not for me. it is a good perfume but i dont feel that Guerlain quality, the back bone of Guerlain is missing.

Gentle Fragrance
An excellent fragrance with a pleasantly wafting odour. A short spray has strong longevity. Very pleased with it. I have read this was used by Noël Coward. So elegant a fragrance for so elegant a man.

Great fragrances are similar to annual wine vintages
Opened it knowing I have three other Guerlain Vetivers on my counter. It took a Guerlain rep to tell me about the way fragrances, like wines, or any crop, is dependent upon the particular environment in which the ingredients were grown. Some years simply yield a scent which some people love and others might not think is so great. Each year is different, slightly or more dramatically. I bought my first Guerlain Vetiver at Jacqueline's in San Francisco in 1982 or 83. It was the big bottle Cologne, and I still prefer the big bottles to the smaller ones offered today. For me, Guerlain is a simple choice, but there are many very good ones. Find what you like and Enjoy !
