I take one sublingualy every morning. I'm unsure if it does get absorbed beneath the tongue at all or not, but I let it dissolve there anyways. It definitely does something energy/mood wise when I take it, even though I take it to just make sure my whole hormone-synthesis pathways have all of their precursors in check (this is the "grandparent" hormone after all), as I'm trying to stay/lead active/fit/healthy lifestyle. I take thiss version because it's a micronized and sublingual formulation that's best for enhanced bioavailability. When taking capsule forms of Pregnenolone it undergo "first-pass metabolism" in the liver, where much of the pregnenolone is converted into other steroids, primarily progesterone. When taking a micronized sublingual version of Pregnenolone, it goes goes directly into your bloodstream and skips the first-pass metabolism of the liver, so you end up actually getting Pregnenolone in your system and not progesterone. Avoid the capsule version of Pregnenolone, it's a waste of money. Do the research yourself and you will understand.

I've used pregnenolone that is of the highest quality from a compounding pharmacy. I've also used Douglas Labs version. I know how it should feel while on it. This brand caused me to feel wired and anxious. The other brands I've used have had a calming affect and helped me sleep better.
