The Art Shop Skipton Artists Rigger Brush Set | Pack of 4 Rigger Paint Brushes

I ordered these for an artist friend who needed this type of brush. He got them for a great price, and thought they’d probably be good for a single use each, then dump them. Nope. He loves them. Says they performed as well as more expensive ones he’s used. He cleans them and looks after them like the rest of his gear.

Generally I buy the best watercolour brushes I can afford with one exception - riggers. Like many painters I use them for scribbiy marks- tree branches and foliage - rather than the long straight lines of rigging. If this is the effect you're after cheaper synthetic brushes that are not too long work best. So when I saw this set for less than the price of one "good" brush I was tempted. They turned to be ideal. Nicely made, good quality springy medium length bristles and in a useful range of sizes that were neither too big or too small. (I had been using the longer Royal & Langnickel ones but these work far better for my purposes.)

It arrived on time and well packaged. These brushes are not expensive but they are still a good brush for my oil painting.

I bought these for sign writing. (I’m not a professional). I have been, however, oil painting for forty years and know a good brush when I see one. I am pleased with the quality, (professional brushes would be better but would cost a lot more). If looked after properly I feel that they will give years of use. I would recommend that anyone using art brushes should have a look on you tube for lessons on how to care for them, having seen how some people treat brushes then complain about them I’m sure no one has taught them how to care for them. Rant over. The brushes were supplied in quick time and packaged well. I would recommend the Art Shop to anyone. I am always wary of buying unseen but since my supplier in Winchester closed down I have little choice. Good service here though.

I use these for painting with oils and they give a superb fine line just as I had hoped, the price is considerably lower than I would normally go for but I thought, what the hell? when I purchased them, if they had been of no use to me in my work it wouldn't have been much of an expense. I use them for background trees in landscapes where the oil paint is a similar consistency to ink, maybe a tiny bit thicker but not much; these brushes do the job exactly to the standard I insist on for my work. Really good brushes!

I pennelli Rigger che ho acquistato sono perfetti per dipingere tratti lunghi e sottili. Dallo 0 sottilissimo, al 4 sono utilissimi per piccolissimi dettagli quali rami degli alberi e minuziosi particolari. Ho notato che il venditore è stato molto preciso e veloce nello spedire i pennelli e che nonostante non fossero in abbonamento Prime mi sono arrivati prima della data prestabilita. 5 stelle per tutto!
