GET IT!!
This rotisserie was AMAZING!! It claims to work for up to 15 pounds, but our turkey was 18 and we figured we would try anyways. It worked beautifully with some skewer reinforcements for the wings and legs. It stores small which is great, and it is very sturdy! Could not recommend this more! It does require D batteries.

Camping Thanksgiving Done Right
My husband got this rotating fire spit to cook our Thanksgiving turkey on our camping trip. It was a bit wobbly for such a big bird, but it did the job—and honestly, it was the best Thanksgiving turkey I’ve ever had. I already told my husband he’s cooking it this way every year from now on!

Works beautifully and worth every penny!
Simple, compact, easy to take on any camping trip. I bought it to use in my backyard fire pit. I have never used a rotisserie before so I cooked an 8 pound chicken the first time. I made a lot of mistakes but this little battery powered motor ran for 5.5 hours without any problem. Today, I did a 16 pound turkey. It took about 4.5 hours, and I was using the same batteries. 10+ hours on one pair of D cell batteries plus all the heat from the fire, it's absolutely amazing. I didn't expect it to run that long on one set of batteries and I really thought it was going to overheat, but it didn't. I did make a heat shield out of an aluminum foil bread pan but that was for my hands protection whenever I needed to operate the on/off switch. The only issue I had was with the turkey. The weight of the turkey would make the spit pop out of the motor but I just put a log behind the motor to support the weight. There are little holes in the poles that I think I might run a metal rod through in order to provide better support for heavier foods but all in all I am extremely pleased and highly recommend this product!

Works great!!
This thing is a beast. Not in size, it's super compact and has a pretty small footprint. But the value for the money is amazing. We bought this thing last spring for al pastor over our firepit. The batteries lasted all day slow roasting the meat and it was amazing. We forgot about it, and not only did it sit through an Arizona summer, but it was rained on a few times and had been exposed to the elements for about a year with the batteries in. When we decided to use it again this spring, not only were the batteries still in great condition with enough charge to do another full slow roast of al pastor, but there was no corrosion anywhere inside the unit, and the whole thing worked as if it was still brand new!

Broke immediately
Bought this for a birthday camping trip. Put a 5 lb roast on it and the gears immediately stripped. I missed the cutoff for return and was so disappointed. We ended up hand cranking the meat over a fire for hours in the cold and rain. Definitely not worth the risk if you’re relying on it. Cheaply made.

Awesome
We bought this to use over our firepit because we enjoy cooking all sorts of things but it gets tedious having to hold skewers. We did a whole ham and it was cooked evenly through without too much fiddling to find the right height. Everything is easy to understand and assembly is minimal, but comes apart easily for storage. Couldn't be happier!

Okay purchase
Likes to come out of socket. Battery box allows batteries to get too hot from flame. Worried they will explode.

Worked well, had to modify to keep from falling.
I love what it does, It works great and does a great job rotating. The rotisserie rod (spit) kept pulling out of the mechanical box and I had to modify the rest of the spit to get it to stay in.

Like that this stand can adjust to any height. Very sturdy and held chicken with zero issues

This was exactly as advertised, and works really well over the campfire. I roasted a 3kg picanha on three separate occasions, and it's worked well. The steel bars that go into the ground are pretty solid, and as long as you install this far enough into the ground, or support it above ground with rocks or logs, you'll be fine to use this over a campfire. If your meat isn't centered on the skewer, it will be off balanced and you may see some "jitters" when the meat turns to the heavier side down towards the fire. I recommend making sure your meat is well balanced before setting this up. The rotisserie bar breaks down into 3 pieces for compact storage. I used the same set of D batteries for 3 separate uses this summer and it's going strong. Would recommend without reservation. For the price this is an amazing value.

Cumple pero no es para ponerle cosas muy pesadas , lo usamos para un cabrito de 5kg

Was pretty clueless about how to set it up and what I was doing, but turned out amazing! Next time I won't drive the posts so deep in the ground, removing rgem was hard. Was one of the juiciest chickens we've ever had, even the leftovers were so good.

I placed this spit across my new s/s fire pit " Cast " , on with a chicken and hit the switch. One hour later, chicken was glistening and brown. Great meal, cooked to perfection, I gained 3 lbs. One great advantage was use of " D " batteries, take it anywhere, set up and cook. The pedestal is adequate, adjustable, but level ground will eliminate many headache. It would be nice if the main rod was a few inches longer. This item will adequately fill certain needs, mobility being one. Well priced for it's intention.
