My Favourite Toy in the World!
We have had this toy for 3 days now and my Cairn Terrier's life revolves around it. That means my life has to as well. From the time she wakes till when she goes to bed, there is one thing on her mind. Let's play with 'Chippy', the unstuffed Chipmonk. Seems quite sturdy and the squeak in Chippy's head is still squeaking after about 5,000 squeaks so far. Husband about to have a nervous breakdown if it doesn't break soon. Sorry, got to go now, time to play with Chippy again ..again .. again. Great Value.A Great Toy!UPDATE 11th December. The chipmonk is definitely looking like 'a road-kill' but that is because it has been loved and squeaked every day over and over again. Squeak still going strong. As far as pet toys goes this is now her Number One Favourite, even beating Teddie the squeaky Meerkat.UPDATE 24th December. Finally had to wash 'Chippie' - it had become unacceptably bedraggled and smelly through being loved so much.Would it survive?Hand washed (avoiding getting the squeaky head too wet) and left to dry on radiator, Despite it somehow falling to the floor on two occasions whilst still wet (with one guilty dog lurking nearby) now fully dry and back in loving paws and, according to my husband, 'regrettably with squeak fully intact'.Result: One Happy Dog.UPDATE: 16th June 2013. Well, I bought 'Chippy back in October, we are now some 8th months later and ................. it still gets used at least 3 times a day, every day. Despite numerous washes and squeaks still going strong (but definitely still looking like 'the road kill on the side of the country road'. Best buy by far.Date now is 27th November 2014 and if anyone is just a little bit interested, here is the final update for Chippie, the unstuffed Chipmonk, and also Funny Bunny, the other great unstuffed toy sold by this Supplier on Amazon. Last week I had to finally throw Funny Bunny as it was minus its squeak and torn into two..........but still loved oh so very much. But my littler Muppet is loyal to the bitter end and I can inform anyone who is still reading ..... she still has Chippie, wait for it .. yes, with squeak intact and working as new when bought in Oct 2012, still brought out again and again on a daily basis, with a gentle paw placed on my leg to draw attention to it's time for play time again .... but yes, it still looks like road kill. So the question is - will she know that her Christmas present this year will be Chippie 2 as I think it is now time for Chippie 1 to be cremated.... Rest In Peace Chippie 1.

Didn't last but performs well in pieces.
Dog loves it! I can tell because she killed it in two days but still plays with both head and body all these months later - to be fair, once it had been pulled in two, it hasn't disintegrated further despite daily, serious efforts. Glad there's nothing inside for her to choke herself on - God knows she would have if there were.

** Not Safe for Hard Chewers/Teething Puppies !! **
There are few words sufficient enough to express the level of excitement my cavapoo puppy experienced when he saw this toy come out of the box! He is 4 months old and has just begun teething, so anything he currently considers to be more orally appealing than the legs of the sofa and/or my slippers gets a huge thumbs up from me. I can't deny my pup absolutely adores this pheasant toy. This is a really lovely toy to look at, with vivid colours and a lovely variety of textures. It is soft, snuggly and easy for any dog to carry. It has two large squeakers in the face and body which is great for increasing a dog's interest/stimulation during play, but they are also easy to locate and puncture if you have an issue with squeakers.HOWEVER, this is 100% *NOT* a hardy toy. My puppy is not particularly strong, but within 5 minutes of receiving the toy he had managed to chew through the fabric beak of the pheasant giving him clear access to the squeaker inside. It would not have been difficult for him to have then swallowed the squeaker, which would have lead to him choking... SERIOUS HAZARD!! The rest of the toy seems fine, but the nose is definitely poorly conceived - a design flaw.I've given this item three stars as, to be fair, it isn't marketing itself as a toy suitable for teething puppies or hard chewers. If you have a VERY soft mouthed puppy or an older dog, it might be perfectly fine but I would advise caution and, as ever, to initially monitor your dog playing with this toy and to then regularly check it for damage.

His favourite toy!
It's possibly one of the cheapest toys he has, yet it is his favourite! Other than a squeak in its head, there are no bells and whistles, but there is no stuffing either, making it safer for him to chew. Our puppy is a large, 9 week old labradoodle. He loves playing tug of war with it, but he will happily play with it by himself.
