I have built a few 3d printer kits and cnc kits. this is a fairly simple build and all the holes in the bakelite pieces are on the money so everything screws together without struggling. the price including the offline controller is hard to beat. If you want a small cnc or if you want an introduction to cnc this one is a good value. I personally like the board and controller. I prefer offline operation and this is about as good as you can get at a really low price. if you want to add limit switches the board easily accommodates this. the board also supports pwm for a laser and the mount is designed to hold a solidstate laser so if that is your goal this is a good cheap choice. I also looked at the power supply after reading the review stating they got a knockoff PS, mine looks authentic and the offline controller worked without issue on my checkout. As i stated eariler I have assembled a 3018 (fox alien) and a 2418, and this one is most like the 2418 but this build was much easier than the 2418. for the price this is a good value.

Got it today. Because it's small and cheap. Assembly took 1h 40min for mechanical part. Fun of its own if you are DIY sort of person. Highly recommend watching youtube videos. There are many small details you want to get right. Manual has at least one mistake. Bolts which hold the bed must be short. Documents show them as long 5mm/16mm. Those holding things aren't symmetrical. Pay attention or you'll have them sticking out and limiting Y-axis move. Software. It comes with Windows driver and soft. You can find them online as well. On Ubuntu 24.04 works out of the box. Just get supported bNCN. It uses /dev/ttyUSB0 if nothing else attached. Make sure you have the rights. Add yourself to dialout group, or simply take ownership. Conclusion: great milling machine for learning and small plastic/wood things. Complete beginners will need assistance. Nothing terribly difficult, but still.

I like it because it is small and looks wonderful. It took me a long time and great effort for installation because the installation guide is not updated. I hope it can help to learn cnc operation.
