It will take some getting used to, but I will never go back to bottled shampoos and conditioners again I’ve used this several times over the last month. The shampoo bar has luxurious foamy bubbles that cleans my hair and rinses out easily. The conditioner is soft to the touch and creates a nice foamy base to let it sit for a bit. There’s a gentle scent, nothing overpowering. I leave it on for the duration of my shower. I’m not shedding as much hair. Rice Water is supposed to impart strength and resiliency. What I do know is, my hair feels so much better. I can go an additional day or two between shampooing. I do have these bars up and out of the way of our shower, because I imagine these beauty bars would literally melt otherwise.

I have only used shampoo and conditioner once but I saw an improvement in my hair already! My hair was so soft and very shiny I can’t wait to see my hair in a few weeks from now. I also want to mention the bar saver bags I got, they work great have already made a second order for the leave in conditioner and a face and body wash bar with the chocolate bar saver bag. I’m anxious to try them both. I’m happy that a kit•sch ad popped up I was hoping that the product lived up to their word. I can definitely say they did. I was so happy I won’t be going back. One very happy customer!!!

Amazing hair product! It helps to store it hanging in a cotton mesh bag. I found that using the shampoo alone or with a different brand of conditioner isn't as effective, best results are from using both shampoo and conditioner. I have less buildup on my scalp, my hair is so soft, and it smells great! My hair tends to be very oily and my scalp itchy and flakey, but not so much after starting this set! I can go longer between washes.

I was skeptical, having already tried other shampoo bars which cleaned but left hair feeling dried out and brittle, and bar conditioners that didn’t leave hair soft at all. They arrived today so I had to try them out! I didn’t realize they were white tea and mandarin scented, I don’t usually like white tea but these smelled really nice and like bergamot (which I guess they are calling mandarin). The shampoo lathered nicely and worked really well to clean long fine hair. I didn’t have hair quite wet enough at first and needed to add more water but once I did this it worked great lathering with hands or using bar directly for harder to reach places. Made a lot of bubbles. Didn’t take much product to make a lot of lather using hard city water with no filtration. Gave a nice gentle tingle feeling while lathering which made it feel cool and clean on scalp. Rinsed out well and easily. The conditioner also smelled nice and like citrusy bergamot, not a heavy scent at all just slightly sweet. The bar didn’t really lather but I could feel my hands were more slippery so I just ran them over scalp and sides and used the bar on the ends where it usually needs more conditioning. It didn’t really feel like it did anything at first but I let it sit a moment and then finger combed my hair. Finger combing helped a lot to coat the hair throughout and then I let it sit longer. After sitting for a while the conditioner also had a mild tingle which let me know it’s work was done. When rinsed, hair was very slick and smooth under the stream of water. After towel drying, hair was easier than usual to comb out and after blow drying could see hair was more smooth than usual. Normally have wiry curls around ears which I have to oil to tame: They were noticeably less wiry and curly after just one wash and didn’t require oil to stay down. Pleasantly surprised overall and interested to see if hair will continue to smooth out over time. Not sure how it will perform under heavy cleaning conditions, like after camping or post-workout, but seems like a good product for daily use!

Package arrived quickly. The scent is subtle (I was a little worried because some of the reviewers said the smell was overwhelming.). I found it to be very subtle, smells like “clean” to me and I have a very sensitive nose. I have an incredibly sensitive scalp, and the skin will burn into the day after my hair has dried after using bottled shampoo from the grocery store I have used the soap and conditioning bars once. Once you get the bar, wet, the studs come up easily. Makes a nice sudsing on your scalp and during the rinse you can hear the squeak. The conditioner seem to be very softening and rinsed out easily. I have had no itchy scalp no burning just clean hair. I’m very pleased with the product so far, I will update as I do have thinning hair, perhaps in a month or so they’ll be a change and I will update. I’ve added a photo so you can see the size of the bars, I was a little surprised they were very small, but these are not the travel size So far, I’m very happy with it and I think it’s well worth a try.

It's my first time with bar shampoo and conditioner so FYI that I'm a newbie and I also don't have anything to compare it to. Good to know: - I wash my hair daily. (I've tried many, many other schedules/washing routines. My hair/scalp can't function without daily washings.) - I have chin-length hair but also an undercut underneath to about the tops of my ears... so not too much hair to wash. - I did buy the sample kit first, with both this and the castor/coconut oil samples inside. Both seemed to work well and I especially liked how the rice versions made my hair feel so I went ahead and bought these full bars. - I also bought the bar saver bags for both bars. They were hung in the back of the shower away from the water and able to dry quite quickly after each shower. SHAMPOO: The bar itself worked really well using what they call the "paint" method in the instructions, where I slide the bar across my hair and lather up. It was quick, had a nice lather, and was very easy to do. The problem for me was that this formula made my hair quite dry and my scalp very itchy after about 2 weeks of use so I stopped using it. (Whereas the sample made my hair quite soft almost immediately. That sample lasted about a week. Not sure why the full bar was so different.) CONDITIONER: It was taking several *minutes* to get enough conditioner in my hair no matter what I did. Neither the "paint" method or lathering up my hands first were much different. I would just have to keep going until I had enough. Not sure if that contributed or not but the bar itself also started disintegrating after about 2 days. It got very, very soft and chunks were coming off and getting stuck in my hair. Just grabbing the bar with minimal force would create divots. I finally had to give up after the 5th day because I could barely even hold the bar together, let alone use it. BAR SAVER BAGS: I know it's another listing but I'll also mention here that the bags didn't do much for me. The shampoo was harder to use and didn't lather as much while using the bag. And as mentioned, the conditioner bar fell apart anyway. I continued to use it for the shampoo but had to take the bar out to use it effectively, then put it back in to dry, and that was pretty cumbersome. Based on just the shampoo bar by itself, I would have been willing to try again with a different formula (and no bag) that might work better on my particular hair/scalp... but since the conditioner was completely useless, I'll be trying a different brand entirely for my next attempt. UPDATE: Bumped up to 3 stars since my mom took the shampoo bar and used the whole thing, saying it was great for her hair/scalp, so I think a mid rating is more fair here. (5 for shampoo, 1 for conditioner, so 2.5 stars.) It didn't change my rating but I'll also note that the company reached out and refunded me for this purchase. Still leery about the conditioner bars but much more willing to give their other products a shot knowing they make it right if needed.

I like the ease of using the bar especially when it’s in the mesh bag (I purchased it separately). It cleans my hair well and rinses cleanly. The conditioner, on the other hand, I don’t like at all. It’s hard to get it to transfer to my hair and what little bit I could get on my hair was very difficult to rinse out. Also, it made my shower floor EXTREMELY slippery. The shampoo didn’t do this. I feel that the shampoo has made my hair stronger and I have noticed that it seems to be getting longer. I would recommend the shampoo bar but would advise against the conditioner bar.

First, let me say that I had to look for a shampoo and cream rinse that has certain chemicals excluded from the formulary. Little did I realize that at the age of 56 one could become allergic to chemicals- in everyday products. As a child of the 80s I am a creature of *lots of suds to feel clean* I am Caucasian. I have longer hair .. about shoulder length and no longer color treated (did I mention chemical allergies ?? 😩) and have a 2b/3c hair type. It was on the thicker side .. well .. WAS until this chemical problem. So - thick, curly hair. And man, in the humidity.. okay - at my hairs every whim - it would frizz. I had a great system in place - my hair stylist has been doing my hair for 30 years !! Yes , the same person . Our kids went to school together and everything. My hair and scalp were well cared for. So! Back to this product.. I got this set - and a container they would hold the bars after my shower so they did not sit in water. These bars do not get.. slimy. I was concerned that they would be like soap - hard to hold and slipping out of my hands. Having to use a shower chair (I have POTS) is bad enough.. I did not want to chase a bar of shampoo soap. I made sure my hair was very wet and I lathered the bar as well as could be .. this was .. possible but not fruitful as one would think of from *soap*. I found that if I put the soap in the ends of my hair and put the lather I could lather my hair easier. It took about 3 times before I could get the right system down. Now - this shampoo CLEANS the hair. And I mean cleans. I would NOT use this shampoo bar without buying the matching conditioner bar. My hair after I rinsed was soooo clean. My hair has not been this clean in .. a long time. Almost scary clean. Ever cleaned out plastic containers and get the squeak? That kind of clean. I then used the conditioner bar. Wow. That bar is hands down super amazing. For a bar, I was amazed at how well it covered all my hair. It was be tree than using g a liquid if possible. Afterwords my hair and scalp felt amazing.. and I always let my hair dry naturally.. this time my hair dried quickly.. and the most amazing thing? I normally have a very itchy scalp after washing my hair. This time not a single issue. I just felt - clean. My scalp felt - great. I truly wish I had known to get these products before. I had been having itchy scalp, dandruff.. etc.. but thought nothing of it. My hair and scalp are on the road to recovery.. and I am happy to have this hair care products with me.

This shampoo is amazing!!!! This product is excellent for thin hair. The shine and silky texture it gives is also excellent for colored hair. I didnt have to fuss that much as far as styling my hair. I would give this a 10. One happy customer here!! This product certainly deserved an excellent review.

like - amazing product, hair falls less, super soft easy to use. dislike - shampoo finish faster than the conditioner- does not last about 100 washes - expensive could have made the bar more bigger for that price
