Only a tiny bit bigger than pound shop ones
Disappointing as advertised as large and not much bigger than the £1 shop ones.

Help to save
Best thing is that you can't get into it to take some out. There are cheaper options in the cheap stores but I was happy to pay for this one after saving a whopping £280 in my last one.

Excellent buy! Driving our little one nuts!
Update - it had over £70 in when full of which £50 went in a savings account for him and is now getting interest. Our five year-old has a face like an angel and old ladies and various relatives fall for his charms and give him money! He immediately then wants to go out and spend it and buy more enjoyable tat toys. In the end we had to set a rule - he couldn't spent it until he had £10 saved up - but it was surprising how quickly he ended up with £10 each time. So then we had another rule - every time you get some money given, half goes in your purse and the other half in the piggy bank, and when the purse has £10 in you can spend it, but the money in the piggy bank is for saving. He pointed out that we didn't have a piggy bank, so I had a look on Amazon and found this. Great - it's big and you can't break into it. It is now quite full and this really is driving him nuts - the idea that he has so much money in their and can't get at it! So now he puts ALL his coins in it and has even started asking people to change £1 coins for pennies to try and fill it up so he can open it - it's hilarious! And it still isn't full. I don't mean to sound cruel to children - but some things are worth going through a bit of agony for and worth waiting for. Only problem is the idea was that the savings money would go in the bank - so might have to go half way and say he can spend some of it now. One word of warning - it is very heavy when nearly full and five year olds drop things - it would crush your toes - so ours now lives on the floor where it can't fall off the table. Excellent value too.

Good for savings.
I bought this for my Dad to save up his money. He says it’s really good and would recommend for people saving up for their holidays etc.

Don’t be fooled about £1000
I deposited £1 coins…. it was full…. and I mean full… when it was full I’d shake the tin to settle the coins and and add more in the hope I managed to top the £1000 mark….I filled it until the top was bulging… £648 no way near my target… after 2 years saving and expecting £1000 in there it was a little deflating… why say it holds £1000 “proved”…Other than that it’s a money box so it sort of “says what it does on the tin” except from the ludicrous claims of “£1000….. hopefully my next saving tin will do as promised

Bit overprice and was slightly damaged
This is basically just a very light (but quite large) tin with a label wrapped around it - the label/wrap on mine is slightly damaged, isn't 100% well fitted and is very wrinkly down the seam. I suppose it does what you need it to do - you put your money in it and then open it with a tin opener when it's full, but it's overprice for what it is.
