The white version is the "Advanced Faucet Filtration System" which has the filtered, regular and shower flows. The chrome one looks like the "Basic Faucet Filtration System" which only has regular flow and filtered. However under this page's Product Description, the images of both the white and chrome filters look like the "Advanced Faucet Filtration System". You can see the chrome filter in the product description looks different than chrome filter in the default images. From what I can tell the only differences between the two are the third flow option and some changes to the filter indicator. **Q: My light indicator there stopped working. Is there anything can be done? Other than buying a new one of course.** A: Unit is 2 months old but light stopped working. I called the manufacturer at 1-800-24-BRITA as instructed in "Troubleshooting. They recommended replacing the filter. I am waiting for it to arrive. If it does not resolve the problem I will call back. They say the unit will still operate through the 4 month life of the filter even without indicator light. You just won't have the indicator light to remind you to replace it. A workaround is to mark the date on the filter so you know when to replace. Will post update after I test replacement filter. **Q: Does the filter system purchase include one filter?** A: Where can I find a refill for this faucet? It doesn't fit UK faucets, and is also not actually helpful as it does nothing for limescale. I've spent hours trying to get it to install on our kitchen faucet and finally got in touch with Brita UK, who provided me the following very helpful information: >>> Thank you for your enquiry regarding the BRITA On-Tap system. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information or spares for this product as it is manufactured by Brita in North America, (produced under licence by Clorox a US conglomerate who bought and own the trademark rights of "BRITA" in the Americas) and isn’t distributed or manufactured by us in the UK. If you have any queries regarding the system please do advise them that you are in the U.K. The reason that there is not a screw on water filter system that fits onto the tap within the UK is because there are 148 different types of taps so the system would need to be designed differently to fit all of these. In the USA and Canada there are only five different tap designs. In addition to this, the American screw on filter system that you refer to just uses a carbon block filter, this means that it would not have any effect on reducing the temporary hardness (Limescale) within the water supply, temporary hardness is of course the biggest problem within the UK water supply. However, BRITA do manufacture a filter tap system, which is attached to the household water supply, providing instant BRITA filtered water on tap.
