good to have when you need it
works great for localized concrete/whatever removal, though I did knock off a carbide tooth while using it (no star reduction). decent price, gets the job done, which is always the cheaper option vs. paying a laborer to figure things out. I bought two, will always have one in the arsenal for that specific task of knocking out a saw-cut joint, squaring off corners, etc. (I don't do tuckpointing, I do floor concrete epoxy/polishing, the occasional sawcut joint repair). look up their round version, too, which is like a miracle solution with a rotary hammer and not always available

They work on light concrete.
If youโre doing something big, be careful how much pressure you put on these those snap off. Works straight on like concrete work.

Sometimes, it's just that you need to get things started... This worked great as part of my arsenal of impact tools for breaking a doorway through a 100 ear cold cistern wall. I needed to remove an old drain pipe from the base of part of the wall that I was NOT demo'ing - this worked great to start the process f braking up the concrete wound that pipe. Those nub points made relatively short work of that old waterproof concrete and aggregate. Once the immediate are around the pipe was roughed up with this, it was much easier to get other chisels and points into the area immediately around the pipe to get it out of there - The right tool for the job!

Perfect chisel to remove damaged mortar prior to tuck/point repairs
The chisel makes quick work of removing broken/damaged mortar between bricks and is sized just right to reach deep between bricks. I removed around 1 linear foot of damaged exterior mortar (not deep damage, mainly surface) and there was no sign of damage to the chisel points, making the removal job easy and nearly pain-free. I have a much larger re-pointing job coming up and I no longer fear the task of removing old cracked mortar with this chisel in my tool box.
