I bought this HP Original Laserjet Cartridge after a firmware update prevented 3rd party versions from working - the full set for my Laserjet Pro M281FDW cost around £240, not much less than the printer itself.There's no doubt the print quality is excellent and these HP cartridges work without a hitch. The issue I have is that you can buy a complete set of compatible cartridges for roughly the price of one of these originals. In my experience wisely chosen third party versions come very close in terms of quality vs original versions.Another strength of these originals is that recycled materials are used in their manufacture and there's a recycling scheme.I think if HP priced their cartridges more competitively even if they cost a fair bit more than the 3rd party versions, they'd not only win loyal customers but would increase sales volumes. I think currently the extreme price differential is too much given the marginal difference in output quality.

HP claims is that the toner gives 1300 pages, this is not true. I got closer to 300 before the printer informs me two of the cartridges are low. For the price, this is unacceptable, as I am basically paying for a new printer each time the toner runs out. It shouldn't cost a few hundred pounds to print 300 pages.

I bought three cartridges - back, magenta and yellow - last year. The black one was fine. I only just got around to needing the magenta and yellow and neither of them fit my printer. They seem to be knock-offs.So I have wasted over £100.

Acquisto questi toner per la stampante di mio zio (uso domestico). La qualità di stampa è ok e l'installazione è a prova di bambino, ma il prezzo per singolo toner è esagerato se consideriamo che la stampante è costata 300 euro e che ad ogni sostituzione sono necessari 70-80 euro per singolo toner.Converrebbe comprare prodotti compatibili o una nuova stampante ad ogni esaurimento toner, altrimenti HP dovrebbe estendere l'instant ink a tutti i modelli per dilazionare il prezzo delle stampe o il ritiro contestuale del prodotto esausto con un minimo sconto. Ne trarrebbero beneficio azienda, cliente e ambiente.
