It's nonstick properties are beyond my expectations. As long as I use with silicone spatula or plastic utensils, it doesn't get damaged. There are some points of thin paints. Those points could scare people but there are the points of electrostatic charging points that were used to charge the plate for non-stick and microwave spark resistant coating.To achieve best results with potatoes, you need to slice the potatoes slenderly thin, and use a high-power microwave. Because 700W ones need some patience with requirement of at 20 minutes of turntable work at least.But it's amazing for pizzas, cheese bites, fish fingers and nuggets.

Needs a bit of trial and error to get cooking times right, but works well.The instructions are a bit contradictory. They say at one point that the pan is only for use in microwaves with a glass turntable, but elsewhere there are dimensions needed for a flatbed oven. I've used it in a flatbed microwave and it's fine.

Didn't brown and crisp the chips as well or quickly as I thought it would.

Test run with Toshiba 900 watt microwave oven. Two years no problems use.Placed empty pan on glass revolving plate.Set timer for two mins.Switched on, sparks where flying and loud bangs from machine.Switched off at mains plug as quick as possible.Opened door of microwave, inside still glowing.The pan appears unharmed not so sure about microwave.NBThis pan is not suitable for a lot of micowaves. Should Toshiba and others voice their opinions.Will Amazon take appropiate action?This product has the potential to be dangerous.

Update September 2023 - two of the oven chip trays purchased July / August 2022 are no longer any use because the surface coating has peeled off - therefore the product does not last as long as those produced years ago, and is therefore also expensive at twice the price of earlier years.I previously purchased these Microwave Chip Pans from Easylife Group 7 years ago now needing to be replaced - so I have purchased four new ones.When I first purchased them, customers were asking whether they were suitable for use in combination microwaves, in which it was then defined that they had not been tested for such use.So after 7 years of using these Microwave Chip Pans almost every day I confirm that whilst they are not to be used in convection ovens, and must not be used under a grill or microwave grill, they do function perfectly using combination convection and microwave and/or programmed for combi followed by convection followed by microwave or combi and so on - as in frozen fish in breadcrumbs or batter or individual frozen pie alongside frozen chips - cold oven, glass turntable in, metal turntable in if micro has one, cold chip pan, combi 190 convection 30% micro 12 minutes, followed by convection 190 12 minutes. Also good for frozen fish cakes, vegetable grills etc 6 to 10 minutes microwave on medium.And my new Microwave Chip Pans have already been used for such on microwave, combi convection, and convection with perfect results.Thoroughly recommended - once you have one you will not want to be without one ever again.These Microwave Chip Pans should not however be immersed in water - they are easy to clean without plunging them into water and fine in the dishwasher - but the top metal seam is not sealed and will let in water if immersed - and such does create rusting from the inside in the long run - hence the need to replace!

I was attracted by the description of the product and I expected that it cooked rapidly small cut vegetstables.I tried courgettes cut like French fries. They took ages to brown. I had to repeat the process of switching on and off the microwave quite a few times. The oven even stopped working at some point. Luckily, after letting it cool down it worked again, but now I don't trust the pan. I will use it just to reheat something quickly, but it has not been worth the price I paid for it.

I was happy to have found this chip pan here. I bought one a long time ago and have now found it, again. I use it a lot as it is very good.
