Excellent items for DYI electrical work. Pen works as does the circuit checker. The latter helped on checking the rewiring of old non labeled wires after pug that was removed.

We ordered this when my husband wanted to install a new bathroom fan. Our house is over 50 years old and the wiring can be a little confusing on what is on which circuit. He needed to be sure not to hit a hot wire and this was the perfect tool to do that. Using this to monitor the voltage in each side kept him safe and me relaxed. Well worth the money.

Could not be simpler to use. I finally got tired of guessing which breaker controlled which plug and bought this Kit. I started out by walking from the plug to the breaker panel, finding the right breaker, then walking back to move the tester to a new plug. That was a very slow process and all of the walking got old in hurry. This is really a two-person job. One to move the sensor from plug to plug, and one to find which breaker. I recruited one of my grandsons to help and we knocked out the whole house (with diagrams) in a couple of hours. Save yourself the grief of encountering a live circuit. Taking a 20-amp jolt is not a pleasant surprise.

The Probe works very well, but the older model (that I replaced - same product) seemed to be more sensitive, in that it would read AC Voltage in proximity of a wire, without actually coming in contact with the wire. The older model I replaced (very old) fell apart when I tried to change the battery. The Plug In tester works very well.

If you're like me, like working around home's electrical system, you have to have this to be safe and save a lot of time.

Flipped the breaker, used this pen, and did not get electrocuted this time which is a solid plus. Turns out the breaker actually powers the fridge, three outlets, and the neighbor's toaster, so always test before you touch.

Very handy tool to have in every electricians tool kit. Great for the handy man. Safety first, no guessing, check that circuit for power.

Meet my expectations and works very well.
