First off, this is an amazing product and does what it is advertised! I have never been in a home which had a fireplace or a wood burning stove. So, this was a first experience for me. It was a a major blizzard in the state of CT of which in my location it was about 2-4ft of snow. Not only was it extremely cold outside I mean (-12) degrees. It was also very costly to continuously run the heat which was oil. So, I decided to use the fireplace and the wood burning stove. I did as instructed by the directions onto how to effectively use the product. I placed the logs inside the wood burning stove and left an opening at the base which allowed me to insert about 1 of the fire starter. I lit the product and immediately the product caught fire and began to burn. It continued to burn about 10 minutes but the fire began to blaze way before. Eventually, after caring for the fire and monitoring it, it was nice, warm, and comfortable in the basement. So, after the day had passed, and I begun to get the hang of lighting a fire, the temperatures remained extremely cold outside and I decided to light another fire. However, this time I decided to ignite 3-4 of the fire starters. The fire still caught and altering caring for the fire, it began to blaze. So, it really doesn’t matter if you use 1, 5, or 10 fire starters, you will eventually have to babysit the fire until you get a blaze. The product just makes it very easy to get the fire started. I ordered the 130 fire starters because I thought that quantity was very good for the price. Also, I wanted to not have to frequently reorder the product and it will last me a while, whether that is for a fire pit, charcoal grill, smoker, or another wintery winter. The package arrived in an Amazon box and after opened, the starters were dry, about 1.5-2 inches in length, and very easy to use. Also, the product is best described as thinly sliced wood strips, intertwined, and woven together. Overall, I am personally very satisfied with the purchase and great investment. I am not disappointed with anything and when this box has finished and I need to reorder, it will be this brand.

Tbh I never tried fire starters. When I was young and still made them, everyone was still old school with building them up from scratch. The most they'd do is use some lighter fluid even though I believe starter logs were a thing for decades at that point. I got a new house with a fireplace and want to use it so I was looking into ways to start burning quickly. Got this to try and was not disappointed in the least. The burn was super powerful and set the logs off without any issue. Im still amazed how many I got for the price. Even my boomer dad was impressed after he was convinced nothing would work other than starter logs. Will for sure buy more when I do eventually run out.

Great fire starter and easy to use. One is enough to ignite a full chimney. I recommend highly.
