Bottom line I’d recommend buying this if you have iPhone 12 or higher. This works great but it does have some caveats. It took some patience and playing around with but I figured it out. As others have pointed out this works by reading vibrations in phone. You put your finger in the volume button or whatever in the recording it sounds like your tapping a microphone. You can try to hold it to a non MagSafe phone but it is too sensitive and will slide around. It is very sensitive. You need a newer phone with the MagSafe capability. iphone 10 or 11 will not work. iPhone 12 and up works. You need a case with a magnet like pictured (see my other reviews for the case I bought). I bought one for this I promise you it makes a world of difference. It cuts out 70% background noise and it holds microphone in one spot (strong magnet in case). It’s a thing plastic case, I don’t know if a thick otter box case with a magnet would work the same way. Let’s talk about the recordings. They are saved in a folder. It’s easy and no bs. No app packed with spyware and other bullshit. This is straightforward. I got a usb cable adapter for my phone ($8) and I can play recordings on my phone after I take them… too ez. KISS wins. So yeah I’m actually really happy with this purchase, will make a nice edition to my kit. Con: for the money it SHOULD include a sturdy travel case that protects it can be slipped in a backpack. Luckily I have one on hand that fits like a glove (won’t depict it here because it might mislead people into thinking it is included).

I only used it a few times before it died. It had a bad battery life and scratchy recordings, but they were serviceable for my needs --- a journalist who just needs a record for notes. Worst discovery upon using was that there is no way to set time so all recordings are labeled with same time and date, making it impossible to distinguish what was recored when. Then after a month of using it a handful of times it stopped working altogether. Great idea, but terrible execution, especially for the price.

Next day delivery. Take out of box, charge it up in an hour and ready to use. Just snap to back of iPhone or iPhone case with MagSafe (just needed MagSafe to hold recorder to phone). Click on the recorder before or after you start a phone call and it picks up everything. When playback, your voice will be louder than the other party, but not a big deal. The recording is an mp3, so you can play it on everything. PC or Mac with a USB port adapter will allow downloads. IF, I have any complaints is, you have to be careful when leaving the recorder attached and putting in a pocket or or purse because the recorder can slip off the magnet. This is a simple to use, works every time product.

It’s a nice sleek device. Great battery life and very easy to use, snap it up. It does pick up alot of background noise, and that was only in my living room from the TV. Biggest complaint is you need a computer to transfer the recordings. Would be worth it if there was wifi, or Bluetooth, or a wireless way to get recordings….would be impossible on the go

Really neat concept, however, the unit doesn't stay on the phone very well when slipped in a purse compartment or similar The magnet isn't strong enough. Also, your phone case must be removed, which causes me great concern for my phone breaking if it's dropped.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the product. Accessing the recordings is easy and it's also easy to use. It's cost effective and cheaper than using an app with a premium subscription. Positives: The recordings of the voice are clear and comparable to the actual call. It's better than using a recording app and definitely better than paying for a subscription. Simple and modern design. Possible improvement: If you change your hand positioning while recording, you can hear some slight interference. It would have been great if that could have been filtered out.

It seems like you're having an issue with a voice recorder not capturing audio when earphones (like earpods) are connected. In my opinion, the current price seems disproportionately high compared to the perceived value and functionality of the item. I expected a more competitive pricing structure given similar products in the market. I believe that adjusting the pricing to better align with the product's features and market standards would greatly enhance its appeal to potential customers. I had high hopes for the voice call recorder I ordered from Amazon, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a major letdown. After waiting patiently for 10 days for the package to arrive, I was excited to finally have a tool that could record my iPhone voice calls. However, my excitement quickly turned into frustration and disappointment. The issue I encountered was with the recorded voice quality. Despite the package being securely delivered, the quality of the recorded voice calls was extremely low and unclear. I could barely make out what was being said on the opposite end of the call. This defeat the purpose of recording calls for future reference or important conversations. While I appreciated the fact that it did manage to record all types of voice calls, including WhatsApp calls, the poor quality of the opposite voice made the recordings practically unusable. It's disheartening to invest in a product that promises a certain functionality, only to have it fall short in such a crucial aspect. All in all, this voice call recorder has been a complete waste of money. The excitement I initially felt has now been replaced with frustration and regret. I cannot recommend this product to anyone who is looking for clear and reliable call recordings. Save your money and explore other options that deliver on their promises.

The device functions well and is quite useful for recording purposes. However, considering the price point, the build quality could have been better. Additionally, the charging port seems to be rather loose. Given the cost of the product, I must express my dissatisfaction with these aspects.

Not recommended. The item came out of the box defective and made of very cheap material. Now, I must waste my time and money to return it.
