Effective sealant
This is a โpaint on โ product which creates a thin sealing layer over whatever you want to waterproof. Iโve used it to coat 3 small rocky r pools in my back garden. Easy to apply but thorough prep is vital. Iโ ve applied 3 thin coats for max effect. Iโm well pleased with the product.

Great stuff
Great stuff. Water slides off. Used on slate for a ware feature. On stones and slate makes things look varnished and โWetโ. Use crap brushes, you wont get this stuff off. Also, I never use gloves because Iโm old school. This is so hard to remove from skin - be warned - use gloves. Very good products. It does smell but not crazy. I felt it actually went quite a long way.

You may need more than you think
Very effective sealer but it doesn't go a long way. I used it to seal a concrete bird-bath which kept losing water (and flaking) through absorption. I covered the whole stand, not just the bowl to stop winter damage and used almost 500ml with the recommended four coats. The first coat soaks in and the rest build up to leave a high gloss finish. Great seal which should avoid further winter damage but the birds had trouble getting a grip on the smooth surface. A bit of roughing-up with a file did the trick (on the sealant, not the birds) This will do for any non-toxic sealing job and looks like it will last a long time. Recommended. Note, (Oct 2013), after six months in all weathers: The finish is unblemished and has weathered to a slightly darker shade. No flaking or blistering and the bird bath looks ready to face winter. So, very pleased with purchase.

Perfect for terracotta water feature
I bought this to seal a terracotta pot so I could DIY a water feature and it was great. It leaves a shiny almost patent like effect on the pot but that was fine as I only applied it to the area that would be holding the water. It does smell very strong, even using it outside you could smell it indoors. But apart from that it was great.

Not clear sealant.
I think the sealant is good as far as a sealant is concerned. However, it does dry a slight golden colour which changed the look of the bird bath I had painted.

Even works on rusty metal
After much searching I found this product which seemed the closest to sort out my problem. I had bought a metal rusty style fire pit from B&Q to use as a water feature. It was perfect in that I love the rust look in my garden. It consisted of a large bowl sitting on a matching stand. I set it all up but I found that because it was a rusty style the water went brown, and looked awful coming out of a fountain feature. Yes....I know.....I should have thought of that but I just put it down to a senior moment. Anyway I decided to try and 'line' the inside of the bowl with a waterproof coating of some sort. Took me ages to find anything but I plumped for this one which is especially for concrete garden ponds. One reviewer said she used it successfully on a container made of zinc. So I gave it a go. I gave the inside of the bowl a good sandpapering to smooth the surface and following the instructions on the container painted on four coats. Had to leave it for 72 hours to cure. I then filled it with water and to date. which is one week later. the water is still crystal clear. Hooray....problem solved!!! It does dry shiny as other reviewers have said but that doesn't matter for my purpose. Also I don't know if it has a brown tinge to it because the rusty look is brown anyway. It certainly doesn't look any different, just shiny. So.....my purpose of this review mainly is to let anyone know who is looking for a waterproofing product for metal.....this was perfect for me.

Seems to have worked on stone but pretty expensive
Used this to seal the inside of a traditional stone trough which we are using for a water feature. Seems to have done the trick with no visible seepage but it is a pretty expensive product.

Waterproofs very well but yellow coloring
It works but leaves a yucky yellow color over everything you put it on. So if youโre trying to have a transparent look so the stone shows through, this isnโt the brand for you.
