Easy to use and efficient. As a huge plus EPEVER are DIY friendly about documenting the API
This is my third solar charge converter. The first two were simple PWM units and very inefficient so I decided to splash out and get a proper one. It costs as much as a panel but is much better in every way. Firstly the display is far more informative with voltage/current/watts/total energy in, voltage/current/percentage full on battery and voltage/current/total energy out. Another nice feature is that the 0V on panel, battery and output is linked which makes it easier to add a monitoring system (raspberry PI and ADC hat).Summary is that it cost more than I would like but it is worth the extra over a simple PWM controller.Update - I wanted to control this from my home system so I asked EPEVER for the communication details at least half expecting them to ignore this or say no but they promptly sent me the detailed API. Huge credit to them for this and I am upgrading my review to 5 star and will choose EPEVER for future projects. Not had a chance to get my Pi zero talking this modbus protocol yet but give me time!

Epever 30a Solar controller, not the cheapest but it works.
Works well, battery indicator can confuse the hell out of you though.Easy enough to install but the settings take some reading and getting used to, the battery status indicator likes to show the power bank is down at 50-60% when the sun goes down, even when tested to be 100%.For a new user it could be confusing, other than that its been great. No issues with it at all.

Failed after 2 years.
Mine failed to work after 2 years..zero customer service response. Now bought a Renogy MPPT 30a, a much nicer item, better quality build.Won't by Epever ever again.
