Hammerite 5084917 500ml Radiator Paint - Satin White

Great paint and easy to use. Drips a little so need covers round. Great for radiators to make them look bright and new. Smells a little but not too bad and soon goes away. Nice bright colour and nice and thick so stays on well. Would recommend

Pricey. With the right roller brush (sponge), was easy to apply. Have to be quick, dries fairly quickly. Good coverage, applied 2 coats, 12 hours apart. Tin says allow 16 hours between coats however i found that it dried half that time ( temps were 17-19 degrees celcius). Used about half a tin for 2 medium sized radiators (1 coat on one side and 2 coats on the other side). Great coverage. Done a small radiator and a couple of lengths of pipework with 2 coats, with about a third left.Tried hard to get a super smooth finish but there were some areas that cane out hammered. Not a problem and doesn't look bad, I was just aiming for a super smooth finish.Easy to wash off brushes with white spirit. Comes out quite runny but seems to thicken quite quickly, but jot to the point of being unusable.Consistently good outcome, so happy to keep buying and using

Great paint

This has totally transformed my radiators. They now look almost new. After giving the radiators a quick rub down with find sandpaper and washing off …I applied a thin coat, looked for drips 10 minutes later…left all windows wide open for 12 hours and open overnight (this paint fumes and smell NEEDS adequate ventilation).24 hours later I applied a second coat (not really needed - but wanted the best finish). Second coat went on really quickly and dried a lot quicker. Result is amazing!! I used this in 5 radiators (the others are: 2 medium and 2 small size)…still got about 100ml left (for any bumps/scratches etc).Really happy.

Excellent product

This provides a brilliant white finish. Easily applied and dries to a smooth finish.

I haven’t used it yet but it does seem very thin as you can shake the can and it’s very thin But they do have a good name
