So my granddaughter wanted a chess set that didn’t look like a child’s set. She is 11. So we got her this and is apparently really happy with it.I can’t answer questions about build quality and craftsmanship as I haven’t seen it. I can only go on what I’ve been told. The luxury of using Amazon is my grandchildren, that live far away, can pick and choose there own gifts, if they want, then we can have them delivered direct. Ok so it spoils the surprise but they get something they want and will use.

Got this for my grandson for Xmas as he wanted to learn how to play ,as a couple of his friends were talking about the game, so as a dutiful grandad I got it for him ,he's pleased with it, as am I, descent quality and price, two happy people

This is a nice inexpensive set, bought for the chess club I’d started as a backup set. Which is why I didn’t have to open it until September when I’d bought it in February - and that’s when I found there was a white pawn missing.Errors happen and it’s not a big deal - and it’s a schoolboy error, not checking it immediately or at least within the returns window. As much my fault as anyone’s but I will admit I’m frustrated.

Good little set and value for money and it is easy storage so pieces don’t get lost

Really good quality item. Only issue is the pieces should have come with a bag instead because it gets messy

Chess, draughts, and backgammon set. Not very sturdy and probably wont last more than 2-3 years. But for the price - a decent enough set.
