It was super easy to assemble and it seems fairly sturdy as well. I love that you can control how much moisture you want in the tray through the little venting system. It works great and almost all of the seeds I put to germinate inside germinated and I love that they are reusable thanks to the silicone. I highly recommend those trays ! I'll definitely be reusing next year.

While this kit would not be sufficient for starting hundreds of plants, it is perfect for getting several dozen going. The cups are easy to fill (I used coconut coir) and the clear plastic lid fits tightly over the assembly, holding moisture quite well. The plastic lids are TALL, leaving lots of space for growth of new plants before having to harden them off. Just having bright window light (my light was even 100% indirect), along with the moisture hood, the seeds germinated perfectly. No elaborate grow lights or heating pads required. I also like the adjustable vents: keep them closed during germination; let some air in after, even while maintaining the "greenhouse" effect. I appreciate the flexible silicone bottoms of the cups, although I have yet to see if it truly makes getting your seedlings out of the cells easier. It certainly seems as if it should work. I also like the bottom trays, providing a "self-watering" function as the seedlings grow. Every part seems well made, flexible (not too brittle, which can be a problem with some sets), and should be capable of lasting many seasons. The final touches of including plant markers and a few tools to help you remove your seedlings when the times comes... really makes this a delightfully thorough kit. I am very well pleased with it and recommend it for anyone who has some plants he/she would like to get started before winter officially loosens its grip. ~ Laura C.

I’m a newer gardener, and decided to purchase these an an inexpensive seed starting set. They definitely aren’t of the highest quality, but not bad for the price. Don’t leave out in a spot with direct sunlight (or like me in a my deck box that receives intense afternoon sunlight), or the bottom tray will melt and deform. The individual cells themselves were a bit smaller than anticipated. I do like the flexibility to be able to easily push the plugs out of the cell. As other reviewers mentioned, the domed lids do not snap into place. But instead just set on top of the tray, and therefore can be easily blown off or knocked away. To secure them better, I just wrapped a rubber band around the base and dome so insure it stayed in place. Some of the round plastic vent closures also didn’t snap into place correctly, but I also held them down with the rubber band. All and all I would say this is a good set for a starter kit, but not something that is going to last for multiple seasons. In hindsight, I would have rather spent more money on a better set. But you live and learn. One other thing to note is the silicone material seemed to cause some of my plugs to develop a mildew. This could have been from me overwatering, but I will say I did not notice this with my other more traditional seed cell trays made of sturdy plastic. The little tools and tags it came with were a nice touch! I’ve gotten a lot of use out of the tools when up-potting

These are great for seed starting! They are a nice size to not take up too much room and very easy to pop the seedlings out when it’s time to transplant. Very affordable and worth the cost. They will last you.

Love the silicone bottom, well made materials. Little tools are great for filling cells and seed planting.

It looks okay the silicone is pretty thin, so have to be very careful with it, but I like the domes and the tray under it to catch the water, it will function for my needs, will start 48 plants, can fit in a heat mat, will need to be transplanted sooner then with a bigger cell. The some height is good, small and easy to just pick up and take to pot up. Can't wait to use it will be starting my fall seeds in the this, the plant labels are good and thick also has the little tools are nice too.

It’s nice BUT the top doesn’t clip properly to the base. I tried both ways with the seedling box and with the green water base. It will do for now.

great product , easy to use and the plants pop out nicely. Like that the dome/ lid is tall. A lot of seed trays with lids will be crowded before you really want to remove the lid. With this one you can leave the lid on longer, and I fell like that works well for my plants.
