Lightweight - Great for Senior's Stability!
I am a 5' senior whit severe back pain, spinal stenosis with MS. Normally my gait is compromised with MS imbalance. But now with severe stenosis i am unable to walk far. After a suggestion from my Physical Therapist I decided to buy a pair of Trekking Poles. I can barely walk unaided for a half of a mile. I highly recommend the lightweight carbon fiber over the aluminum models. The cork grip is very comfortable. With these poles, comes a kit with several different rubber tips. I however, bought an additional kit to get the larger round foot, for more stability. The path that i walk on is hard asphalt and I am unable to do trails offroad. The adjustment clips are made of aluminum and more durable than screw type plastic on other models. It comes with a durable travel bag, in case you need to take them on a trip. I use it to store all the variety of tips, which I switch out. These poles are invaluable in aiding me to build up endurance to wallk longer distances. All with giving the confidence of safety to avoid tripping or falling. The black/orange is pleasing and not cheap looking.

GREAT Product and AMAZING customer support!
These are quality trekking poles for less than half the cost of comparable options on the market. Sturdy build. Lightweight. While hiking the Devil’s Path in the Catskills, I left one of the flip lock clips a little too loose while strapped to my backpack and it ultimately fell off along the way from all the bouncing around as it is a VERY rugged trail. Fortunately it happened near the end of the 25+ mile hike. I emailed Pike Trail the following Sunday morning at 8:30AM to see about getting a replacement lock sent out. Of course I expected to hear back Monday at the earliest, or even later in the week. At 10AM that same Sunday morning, I received an email from Josh, the President and CEO of Pike Trail telling me that he will send a replacement lock out ASAP. I received a second email from Josh on Monday telling me the lock was being sent out that day and attached a picture of the package with the tracking number. I received the package a couple days later, and he even included a beer coozy. If you’re shopping for quality trekking poles, but don’t want to spend $200+, and you also don’t feel confident with some of the really inexpensive options on Amazon, look no further than Pike Trail. They offer high end quality at a mid range price with customer support you don’t often see these days.

Worth it
Recently used on an Alaskan super trek and several times the poles not only saved a fall, but would bend and not break. Always remained sturdy.

very supportive
These poles really are perfect for walking around NYC. The customer service was great when I had an issue with one of the poles.

Pike Trail trekking poles
The poles seem flawless so far. The cork grips are good, the hand straps are comfortable and hold their loop size. The poles sections are stiff, easily adjustable, and show no tendency to bend or collapse. The Nordic fitness walking tips work well for that purpose, but I bought aftermarket round rubber tips for ordinary walking on pavement which fit well. The only improvement would be to include written instructions on setup and use or else a link to a video with that information. The video could also promote your own accessories and other products.

Excellent follow-up service from Pike Trail.
I gave the poles a 5 star rating because of the follow-up service from Pike Trails. They immediately responded to my following dilemma and sent me a new adjusting nut plus a spare. I have not had an opportunity to use the Poles yet. I had already lost one of the adjusting nuts on the trail when I started to adjust them. Note to others: take extra care in tightening the nuts each time you adjust the poles.Kudos to Pike Trail.

Better than expected
I’ve been using my wife’s black diamond poles that are $$$. She picked these out for a gift and I love them. Actually marginally lighter than the BDs even though they have a longer extension and larger grips (hers are designed for small framed individuals).Accessories are great, even though they will probably get put away and never used.Grip and strap are more comfortable than expected given the price. The locking mechanism doesn’t require a tool and seems sturdyLong term hiking in the mountains will determine longevity. And I’ll follow up if their value falls due to extended use.
