I'd like to tune up one full step to avoid the capo; (which I normally use on the first fret). Do you think it'd be possible with these 008 strings?

electric strings and really good strings they are. Being a lighter gauge their play ability is very good.They should work on an acoustic ok, depends on what tone you want. I prefer the use elect strings on my 6 string acoustic.
