Good little top spinning base.
This is, so far, a nice little base for spinning tops. It is well engineered, good build quality. We shall see how is holds up to a few hard top impacts!

Has enough concaveness to keep the top in one area, but enough to see it moving around. Tested with both string wound and finger spun tops, works well with both. Both sides can be used. There is a spot on one side where the spring wound top would start buzzing(perhaps a rough spot?) but it’s too small to be felt with a finger. I’m overall satisfied, would recommend.

I received a Foreverspin top as a gift and purchased this base for it. Works great! The silicone ring protects the edge and is nonslip on a surface. The glass is ever so slightly convex so the top ends up spinning to the center. Very happy.

This is a nice concave lens that has silicone bumpers to prevent it from cracking and the minimize the chance of the top coming off of the base. For the price it is an excellent value. It functions very well, and contributes to a smooth spin and good spine time. For those with precision tops it is a must buy.

For the price ($15 - $16), you can't beat it! This is a GREAT top base for beginning spinners who are serious. It will help you build skill without breaking your wallet and damaging your top, especially if you're learning using one of the more expensive spinning top brands/models. Because the base is made of concave glass, you shouldn't drop or throw your top onto it. Although pretty tough, the base can still chip or break if misused. Learn to start your spin with the top's tip on the base. (There are plenty of YouTube videos that will show you how.) This smooth, concave glass base will last many years with proper use and care. It will definitely prolong the duration of the spin versus the time you'll get from an average tabletop. And if you're tired of picking up your top after it fell off a flat surface, this base offers far less chasing, bending and searching. IF YOU'RE AN ABSOLUTE BEGINNER, I recommend removing the base's protective film and putting the base back into the manufacturer's box and its bottom two layers of packing foam. This creates a square space in which you can spin your top without danger of it flying off the table. If you overspin and it bolts, the box's cardboard sides will act like guard rails. I would have given this product five stars but I'm not overly impressed with its outer silicone ring. While it does keep the glass base from sliding on any flat surface, and it prevents a top spinning normally on it from dropping off the edge, the ring doesn't fit the base precisely. When I tried to straighten out the silicone ring, it came off the glass. Although I finally got it back on and evened the edge on both sides, stretching it to fit wasn't easy. I'm not sure most buyers would notice the latter or even care. After all, the silicone ring does its job. It could be that I'm just a little neurotic about some things.
