CUISIPRO 6 Sided Box Grater

After years of using a cheap Target box grater, it was time for an upgrade. This far, this purchase has yet to disappoint. The price of admission was higher than I would have liked, but the quality is definitely present—the blades are super sharp and highly efficient, the abundance of options are fun to mess around with, and the bonus ginger grater at the bottom is a welcomed addition (although we try to avoid plastic in the kitchen). I do with the metal walls were a bit sturdier at times, but I am willing to deal with a little bit of flex when shredding to have sharper grates. Another nice thing in that the shape makes the grater easier to clean than the typical 4-sided grater. A worthwhile adult quality of life upgrade—would recommend!!

I have been suffering with old, dull graters for years now. Now that I'm doing some serious cooking, the old grater just was not going to do the trick anymore. It was time for an upgrade. I chose this particular model after seeing it in action at my son's place. This box grater is extremely versatile - each side has a different purpose, from zesting citrus, to ultra-course for soft cheeses. There is a removable plastic bottom that holds in grated materials and provides a non-slip base; it also can be used for grating ginger. The ginger grater does exactly as advertised: it shreds fresh ginger while leaving fibers behind. I use that feature often. The cutters are very sharp so handle with care. It really makes short work of grating duties! I carefully hand wash mine as suggested by the manufacturer, but others say that it can go into the dishwasher. It's really not a problem to hand wash, as the openings are large enough to get into for a proper cleaning. While this grater is on the expensive side, I believe that it is well worth the extra expenditure - it is solidly built, sharp, gives me a variety of grating/slicing options and performs beautifully.

Cleaning proves straightforward whether by hand or dishwasher, and the materials suggest years of reliable service. A solid choice for kitchens that grate regularly and appreciate well-engineered tools.

It's sharp, very very sharp. Easily grades everything from hard and soft cheese, carrots, garlic, ginger, this things does it all. The bottom plate comes off and has a grater too! It's large enough to hold close to the cups of grated cheese. I like that the cheese can be held within the unit, it reduces the mess and you don't have to clean an additional item that would otherwise catch the grated material.

This box grater is very good. Each of its sides grates, shreds, or slices beautifully. The cut-outs are very sharp, and the removable, sturdy base fits well and snugly, but is easy to remove. Shredding cheese goes quickly with this large, sturdy, very stable grater. And, it is super easy to clean. It's large, but that's not a problem--I just store it in a cupboard with other gadgets. The handle is sized well and is sturdily attached to the body. I am a woman with fairly large hands, and the handle is comfortable for me. Even my son, who has very big hands, finds this grater comfortable and easy to use. This is a well-made product with attention to detail. I can highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an excellent box grater.

Box graters can take up a lot of room but I hang this from my pot rack and that works well. I got tired of all the graters I bought that weren't sharp enough or didn't have the right kinds of graters. This is very sharp, has a good selection of graters, and the plastic ginger grater at the bottom keeps the cheese inside the grater until you are ready to use it. I have not tried the ginger grater but it looks like it would be OK, but it's still excellent as a base to keep the gratings inside the grater while you are using it. It's a little pricey but I think it's worth it.

My husband requested this and I purchased it off of his wishlist. He is very pleased with how it works, and likes the bonus ginger grater on the bottom. I like that it cleans easily, but I do NOT like how much space it takes in my cupboard. I guess this is a form/function problem. At least I could get rid of several smaller ones.

I'm very impressed! The slicer side went through raw purple fingerling potatoes, skin on, very easily. Yet, when I run my finger over the same blade, there is no hint of flesh cutting ability. Still, I recommend extreme mindfulness. My intention was to get one tool to serve as both grater and mandolin to save space. While it is not adjustable, this suits my needs nicely. The 'bonus ginger grater' snaps in firmly, holds shredded material until needed. Construction feels solid. Did not wobble at all while grating. The combo of stability and sharpness allowed me to take the potatoes all the way to the end - no waste! Can't wait to use it on more foods. :)

That being said it is one that will last a life time. It is really razor sharp, already had one run in with my fingers, beware people, sharp is good just pay mind. I like that there are more than 4 choices and was very happy with the bottom that attaches, easy to put on and take off and no need for a bowl under the grater and no slip. Highly recommend.

first of all let me say this is an excellent product, and one correction, it is dishwasher safe, top rack as most things these days and it wrongly states not suitable for dishwashers. blades are extremely sharp and on xmas eve as i was entertaining i was in a hurry to grate cheese, i grated a bit of skin as well and i was bleeding. i do not blame the grater as it has to be sharp and it has to do what it is supposed to do fast due to its ability to work for you. maybe i should invest in special guard gloves. next time i order something it will be on my list.

Comprei o ralador, porque gosto de cozinhar e sempre tinha dificuldade com os raladores aqui de casa. Peguei a sugestão da Rita Lobo para o ralador de inox Cuisipro de 4 faces, mas como não tinha comprei o de 6 faces. Fiquei muito satisfeito, produto de extrema qualidade. Recomendo de olhos fechados.
