NHL 13 (Xbox 360)

If I hadn't played this game and had to review NHL 12 today, I'd probably still give that 5 stars as well and there certainly are a few tweaks that makes this years edition better than the last.With the new skating system in place it's an absolute joy blasting by defenders with speedsters like Gaborik, Grabner etc.In HUT it's become a little easier obtaining EA Pucks, so you don't come up short on contracts if Online Players, who don't like losing, disconnects mid-game.The GM Connected Mode is my favorite - mixing online play, banter with friends and my former fav "Be a GM".The only slight tweak I would make is valuation of 1st round draft picks, the AI trades them away for next to nothing, which is hardly realistic.If you're starting to feel that NHL lock-out getting to you, I'd recommend you get this game.

Great game but why do they hold back on giving even more improvements- Great Britain team hasnt changed since 1986, more create a team options.

NHL 13 has it all, all the thrills and spills of this high octane sport coupled with a slick menu system that is easy to navigate, great audio and a pumping sound track, all the teams you could possibly need and a heavy dose of minor leagues, so if you are a fan of the Moose jaw warriors! and I am! you will find something here for you! NHL 13 takes all the things you liked about previous games in the series and builds on them, very entertaining, so if you like playing a good passing game or on the rush...it's all here...how creative you get is down to you and your team...this game is a blast to play...so easy to pick up and play...and its fantastic to play on-line! its difficult to see where it can be improved on...a super title.

Since getting this over a month ago, I've been playing this non-stop and still can't get enough of it. Yes, there are some glitches with the game (computer AI is questionable, still easy goals to be had from slapshots, etc...) but the positives take over. Presentation is extremely good, as most EA games are. The feel of play is good, the new improvements made to the way in which the players skate add something that was much needed as well.If you're a hockey mad fan, then I'd strongly suggest investing in this game.

Avoid this like the plague. Constantly wipes its self of all your customisations despite auto save. Game play is amazing but you can't save anything for more than ten minutes without it deleting everything so you have to recreate your team again and again.Update So it has decided to start saving things. I guess that's a start but the options are very limited unlike 2010 where you name your own team what ever you wanted.

i've never owned an ice hockey game before, i've only played demos.when i bought this game i wasn't sure what to expect, whether the career mode would be good/bad or whether online play would be laggy/not laggy.howevever i'm very impressed, this game offers many different single player modes and has the equivalent to FIFA's "Ultimate Team". The online multiplayer is great, and playing with 2+ players on the same console is also good fun.I would highly reccomend this game to somebody who has never played an ice hockey game before, or to NHL fans as i'm sure you won't be dissapointed

Well i find it a hard game but still learning to play but getting battered every time dont make me want to play lol

absolutely amazing game worth every penny, if you're new to the game you learn a lot about the rules and how to play due to interactive tutorials, if you aren't new to it it's still just as amazing, only negative thing is that it is TOO ADDICTIVE!!!
