Reference Front-Firing Subwoofer with revamped Spun-Copper thermoformed crystalline Polymer woofers

I recently purchased the Klipsch subwoofer featuring the revamped Spun-Copper Thermoformed Crystalline Polymer (TCP) woofer, and I’ve been extremely impressed. I actually replaced a more expensive subwoofer with this Klipsch, and I was surprised by how well it performs for the price. The bass is deep, clean, and powerful without sounding muddy or overwhelming. The build quality is excellent, and the spun-copper woofer gives it that distinctive, high-end Klipsch look. What impressed me most is the overall value. You’re getting the sound, performance, and build quality I would normally expect from a considerably more expensive subwoofer. If you’re looking for strong, clean bass without spending a fortune, this Klipsch is an excellent choice. Great product, great quality, and an outstanding value for the money. Highly recommended!

Setup: Marantz Cinema 60 feeding two Klipsch Reference floor standing speakers, plus a center channel Klipsch under the TV. Always felt there was some depth missing, probably due to quite a large, irregular space consisting of living room, dining room, and open kitchen. High ceilings. This sub filled in the sound beautifully. Didn't go for the larger sub since I'm not generally cranking hip hop or whatever baloney passing for music these days. For movies, rock n roll, and music where people actually play instruments, this sub is the bee's knees. Easy to hook up, too.

I don't have the world's best back so the light weight of this subwoofer relative to its size and performance was appealing. It has good extension and can reproduce quite low frequencies, though its EQ has a hump at about 55hz. You can EQ that out or just enjoy it, nobody is going to make you stop! Group delay is good for its size and rear-ported construction as well, better even than some vaunted performers in its on sale price range. Ample dynamic range for cinematic low frequencies and when dialed in, it has a lively and relatively quick low frequency reinforcement for music as well. I pair mine with Klipsch RP-600m (first gen, love them) and set the crossover to reinforce from about 60hz down. Its loudness has been more than enough for my space, it can overwhelm the living room it is in when movies rumble! Feel it moving that low low air into the kitchen and other rooms even. But, to be maximally fair, if you are in a very large room you might want to consider a larger diameter speaker model or perhaps a higher output unit. I've had zero complaints about it's output but it is somewhat conservative compared to the Reference Premiere subs and some competitors, and it has rock solid DSP limiting that stops it from exceeding its capabilities. In my personal use even with bass impact action films I have not met its limits!

I had just returned a more premium branded sub that cost 3 times as much. This blows that out of the water! Definitely worth it. I was highly surprised. Has plenty of power and sound is deep and rumbling like thunder.

This is very boomy, but I like the ability to turn it up and down separately from the receiver. This is my first powered sub, so keep that in mind. I've only used passive subs before this. The auto-on setting is a bit laggy, but the sub works well once it turns on. It is especially slow to turn on at lower volumes. I can live with it for the sound quality. If you put it somewhere you can easily access the back, it can be turned on manually to speed up the process. Also, the volume and crossover knobs are in the same area, so easy access might be important. If it didn't take so long to get a signal strong enough and long enough to turn it on automatically, I'd give this 5 stars. Don't forget to buy a cable to connect it to your receiver.

Estou usando esse subwoofer em uma sala de 40m2. Ele tem a presença do subgrave muito nítida e forte. Mesmo em volumes baixos. Toca muito bem, subwoofer de impacto, muito top mesmo.
