adidas Men's Kaptir 2.0 Running Shoe

I usually wear a women's 7.5. I ordered these in a men's 6 and they're perfect. I have arthritis in my toes and need a wider toe box. These are a good width in the toes, but not too wide everywhere else. I personally wouldn't use them for running or high impact workouts as they flex too much for me (a stiff bottom is best for my arthritis), but they're comfortable enough for running errands, walking dogs or a casual day out. I can easily take the insoles out to slip in my own too. The laces are obnoxiously long so I ordered some no tie ones to change out.

I wanted to wait until I broke these in before writing my review. I bought them because my feet were starting to hurt and I developed calluses doing cardio in my old shoes which had worn down. I searched for a while for some supportive athletic shoes that would work well especially on the elliptical and initially was going to purchase some Aasics before choosing these and I'm glad I did. My feet already feel much better and I can definitely feel the difference compared to my old shoes. What made the biggest difference though was shifting my stance because I realized I was wearing down the flats of my feet, particularly the left, with poor foot placement and repeated strides over the course of an hour. They arrived quickly and fit well. I wear a regular size thankfully and don't have to purchase wide or slim but I was nervous purchasing athletic shoes online without being able to try the fit first. Would recommend for anyone looking for good gym/running shoes.

I was looking for an all black shoe that still had some style. These turned out to be perfect! They are super light weight and have firm, yet soft cushion and support inside. I have had no issues with them coming untied throughout the day. Some shoes seem to constantly come undone. These do not. I usually wear a women's size 9. I bought a men's size 8 and they fit perfectly. They are easy to slide on and very comfortable on my foot. The material breathes. They have not lost their shape or stretched out. I haven't done "official" work-outs in them. However, I do a lot of walking at work and my feet and legs feel good at the end of the day. I would recommend them. Stylish and comfortable. But the positioning of the laces has me wondering why this is marketed as a “running” shoe. The top of the lace position, where you tie the laces, is far too low; it hits the top of the foot, but not close enough to the ankle to properly “strap” you in. Even on a brisk walk, with the laces tied tight, the shoe feels a little like it’ll slip off from the ankle-to-heel; when running, that sensation is pronounced. So it’s not enough support for what it’s advertised as (running), but it’s a great all-around gym sneaker otherwise.

This is a good looking shoe that goes with most anything and it fits great. I own 3 pair of them. Will continue to purchase them as long as they are made.

They are pretty comfortable right out of the box, not much of a break-in period if any! They have a TON of arch support. Like... it was shocking at first, but you get used to it. They feel a little bit harder on the bottom coming from the Lite Racer Adapt that I've been wearing for a while, which are a bit squishier. These do have some cloudfoam in them too, but not as much it would seem. They are definitely grippier on the treads which is nice. They are nice and loose on the top. Once you tie them, you're good to go and can slip them on and off easily which I love in a shoe. Overall I'd definitely recommend.

If you want these types of adidas cloudfoam running shoes to fit like a pair of socks with no spare room in any direction order a half size down. If you want some toe wiggle room order your regular size. I'm a size 10 in most things and found myself okay with 9.5's in the 1.0 Kaptir sneakers however, there's no room inside the shoe once your foot is inside, none. I decided for my next pair I would go a half size up to a 10 and they fit the same width wise but I find there's a small bit of empty space in front of my toes, also light give on the heel but no major slippage. All and all these types of cloudfoam sneakers from adidas are super comfortable, I use them for the gym and running and have no real complaints. Just be sure you know what kind of fit you want before buying.

I returned these and went for the LiteRacer shoes instead. These felt somewhat uncomfortable.
