She’s now 16 years old and can get a bit messy. So I’ve washed it multiple times. Washes & dries beautifully in our washer/dryer. I wasn’t sure at first about the little zippered blanket but it turns out she loves to burrow her head under the cover. It’s easily unzipped when it’s not cool enough for the extra warmth & the extra blanket just lays off to one side. I purchased this originally in early January & it’s now Mid May. So it’s warming up but it’s still her favorite dog bed. Over the last 5 or so months I’ve probably washed it 8+ times & photos show it as it currently is today. Very used & loved. But looks almost new. She loves it so much I’ll be buying another soon. Very comfortable , high quality. super soft & perfect size for her kennel. Good size for my 4kg mini fox terrier who prefers to lay under a blanket in the evenings and coming into winter it will be a great comfort for her. She loves rolling around in the very soft lining of the bed. I do recommend leaving it 24 hrs - as the instructions suggest - to get the best shape out of the bed.
