Prym Colour Snaps, Round 12.4mm x 30 sets - White

I purchased these last January which was a few months into my new venture of learning to make clothing. I had used them at the start and knew they were good but further into and much more confident in my baby clothing, I thought in stead of buttons I would try these again not remembering how good they were. They are absolutely fabulous. They are so easy to install too...well this coat was a layer of cotton and polyester and all I had to do after marking the spots to put them was to push the spike through the fabric...no tool needed for that at all. To set them I used the Prym Love Vario Pliers and they are solidly set...because the coat is for a 3 year old, I tested several times and they not only don't come away, they close really solidly. I am very pleased with these snaps and will be using again as have another grandchild on the way. Don't worry about these snaps coming away when being worn by the child as once set properly with the Prym pliers, which is simply squeezing them together, they are there to stay. There are several videos to watch installation of these snaps to help should you need it. Strongly recommended.

I initially assumed that these would work with my existing tools - but they do not, if you don't already know, they definitely need the prym pliers to fit them. That being said, the snaps are super cheap to buy, and they work a treat - well worth spending money on the proper tool for fitting. Using them to make a macro flash diffuser - and they work a treat.

Works OK but only really on thin fabrics . Stems need to be longer .

These are a very good quality snap, like most of the Prym products. However, just be warned if of feeble hands....they are quite stiff to unsnap!! The non-branded ones are made of an inferior plastic but are easier to use!! Very good colour. But delighted with my purchase, Am not able to wear a cross-over dress without having to use safety pins.

Great press stud system. We use them for a different purpose - identifying school uniform. My son couldn’t read when he started reception. We put these on the labels & he knew to look out for the orange stud. My sister did the same for my niece with pink stars. No lost jumpers! It works a treat.

I wanted to take off all the buttons on our duvet covers and change them to snaps. This was so easy and quick to do and of course because their plastic. It’s washing machine proof as well.

The poppers themselves are of good quality and I like that they come in a variety of different colours to suit your needs (I have a packet of red and white heart shaped popper in addition to these plain black ones). However, I find that the shanks on these ones aren't quite as long as the shanks on the red heart ones I've got... I made a costume for my daughter the other day and tried to attach the poppers to 2 layers of gabardine fabric (not as heavy as denim but heavier than quilting cotton). The poppers attached themselves well enough and even clicked together without issue, but when it came to unfastening the poppers, the shank kept coming apart from the male insert (which remained fastened to the female part of the popper), thus rendering the popper unusable. I ended up wasting 6 poppers before I figured out what the problem was... I trimmed some of the seam allowance away from where the popper was to be mounted (to ensure that just 2 layers of fabric were being sandwiched together) and using the red poppers instead, just to be sure that the shank could hold the two pieces of the snap together. Other than that, I have no complaints about the poppers (thus the reason for the 3* instead of a 5*).

Once you get the hang of using these, they do the job you would expect. In my case to replace a few torn off duvet covers. A smaller size would have been better, my mistake.

Reçu rapidement très belle couleur qui correspond parfaitement à mon tissu pressions robuste tiens très bien je recommande vivement
