Good value digital photography primer for those who got a decent camera for xmas.
Working on the basis that 'assuming no prior knowledge helps you become a better digital photographer' this book runs with the keep it simple idea and it works. If you've been given a decent digital camera, say a DSLR or bridge camera, for xmas and are left feeling a little overwhelmed by it all, then this book is great for underwhelming you! Best described as concise and informative, the author has managed to bring clarity to a very complex subject (and as a writer who works in the technology field I can appreciate that is no easy task). That the chapters are tightly written is a good thing, the reader never feels like they are drowning in too much information. Maybe the reach of the book is a little ambitious, covering everything from what the buttons and dials on your camera do right through to making money from your pictures and protecting copyright. But that said, treat it as an introductory primer to digital photography and you won't be disappointed.

The first sections on choosing cameras and other equipment would be really useful for people starting out with this great hobby. The remainder of the book is an excellent source of reference for beginners and the more advanced

Excellent beginners guide
Has the original of this many years ago, and it was a brilliant guide to starting out in photography. This new and updated version is equally good, and can be recommended for anyone wishing to do real photography as opposed to taking selfies on their phone!

Great Book, Useful Tips
As a novice photographer I have found this book really informative, not only giving advice about types of camera and photo techniques but also about computers, software, apps and much much more. I have just ordered another one for my brother. Delivery was extremely quick and communication regarding delivery first class.

El libro en sí lo tenía en papel y era de contenido directo y fácil de entender cuando se publicó.Quería releerlo después de casi 9 años sin hacerlo y me he encontrado con que la versión Kindle tiene la mayor parte de páginas sin letras. Contacté con atención al cliente de Amazon, me indicaron que lo comentarían con el departamento de calidad para arreglarlo y tramité la devolución.

Good but should be more detailed
It's quite good for "very" beginners ie those who have absolutely no idea about what photography/iso/whitebalance/megapixel etc is. I had a fairly basic knowledge in this field yet i decided to buy it because i thought it would be bit more detailed.But sadly it isn't. The topics are covered in on an average 2.5 pages ( small pages ) and you can outgrow this book in minutes.
