Pro Arte Series 40 Sable Brush Wallet

I have used ProArte's wonderful Prolene series 101 synthetic brushes for years, so I expected the Sable brushes to be even better.I was really disappointed. They were poorly constructed and would not maintain a nice point and as I paint in a detailed style, I found them to be a poor substitute for the Prolene.I will definitely not be buying them again.

Bristles moulted & seperated during the first time use....disappointing I expected a better result from this a 'Name' I have had cheaper brushes produce better results

the quality of the sable fur is not very strong. i've used bouncier sable brushes in the past, which leads me to question whether this is sable at all. Brushes work, but don't expect artist grade from these.

Got some Pro Arte brushes from my local art shop and bought these expecting they would be of similar excellence. Sadly, can only report my astonishment that such a prestigious maker would allow their name to be associated with this product!

as stated they do the job and arrived in a reasonable time. will come back again for other items if required.

These brushes are fine. I shall get a lot of use from them. They point well and hold water.

Wanted to buy some sable brushes and in the shops they all were so very expensive. Bought this and have used them - great quality and value for a starter water colour paint kit.
