Habitrail OVO Mini Maze

My hamster loves this. I thought he would have chewed through the cardboard insert by now, however he hasn't. He loves popping his head up through the holes and extending his cage has been really good for him. The OVO range is really good in that you can build the cage to how you want, and can swap and change this as you please to change things up for your hamster. My hamster, Dave, loves it and he frequently chills up in the mini maze.

My two gerbils seem very happy with their new extension. They use it as their toilet, despite me putting loads of bedding material in there to start with. They quickly removed all trace of bedding. Well made, easy to remove and clean by Putting the red coloured stopper over the opening after taking it off. The cardboard maze lasted less than 2 hours. So won't bother replacing those with the refill packs.

Firstly, forget about the maze! Take it out and let your pet enjoy the extra space. I bought this to add to the habitat which my disabled wild mouse lives in. She needed more space to enjoy hiding and climbing. As soon as it was attached she moved her bedding into it and, nearly twelve months later, she still sleeps in her second storey bedroom. It is a perfect size for the woven grass nest balls and with some soft paper bedding it's a snug bed. Even though she has three legs, she can climb easily into it through the tube. Easy to clean, easy to assemble (with practice) but I agree with others that the upper piece could do with more ventilation holes as it can get steamed up. As an addition to the starter home, I recommend this as an inexpensive loft extension which your small animal will appreciate more than most toys.

When I saw this advertised I thought that it would be a good addition to all my mouse / hamster cages which have Ferplast tubes and connections. When it arrived though, I found that it was incompatible with the system I already have. I tried a couple of pet shops to get cage couplers that would fit it, only to be told that OVO are no longer trading so I cannot use the unit so I've wasted my money on a useless (to me) piece of kit. There were no sizes given on the advert nor was it mentioned that this was old stock. Very Disappointed.

Nice add on extra for large cage unit. We removed the card insert as holes were too small for a large hamster. An extra pod for hamster to explore and find hidden treats.

Cheap plastic that broke the same day I got it. The entire cage broke when i tried to move it dropping onto one of my mice. Luckily I caught it before it was lost for good outside. Really did not like this style of cage at all and this and my habitrail ovo went in the bin after less than a month. My mice now have a large spacious traditional cage that can actually fit toys! Not for for purpose if you love your rodents.

At first item was great, but soon with usage it became full of condensation, without enough air holes my hamster came out the habitrail soaked each night. The moisture was more than any hamster house ive had, poor ventilation. I've had to just bin the whole thing as its not worth the contsant wiping out and irritation on my hamster, I would have drilled more holes in it but i think the plastic would shatter if i did. I'm thinking maybe best for a dwarf hamster, but definitely not Syrians that fill up their beds loads of bedding.

Ich habe einen Dsungarischen Hamster(MONTY) ..Da ich das Gesamte Habitrail Set in Merfacher Ausgabe habe und es mich komplett überzeugt hat ,habe ich mir auch diese Höhle dazu geholt!Wie erwartet ist er sofort rei und hat es für sich eingenohmmen! *:O) Es ist schnell aufgebaut u auch die Lüftungslöcher sind toll..an alles gedacht! Es lässt sich toll Reinigen da es Plastik ist ! Das es optisch der Knaller ist ,ist ein Angenemer Nebeneffekt! Preis ,Leistung ...absolut fair ! iA :MONTY *:O)

Nice addition to a small cage. Gives hamster a cozy personal sleeping area. Cardboard insert was useless and I threw it away. Challenging to install. Really nice once installed. Hatch difficult to open which I guess is good cause she can't escape.

Non è fatto con molta cura, gli incastri sono un po' precari. Un pezzo è arrivato montato a metà, con il rischio di romperlo per disincastrarlo e girarlo. Una volta montato però è funzionale e carino.

Perfecto! Mi hamster ama dormir ahí, es su recámara ahora. Me gusta por que puedo tener acceso a limpiarle fácilmente y tmb puedo acariciarlo. Se ve feliz. Lo recomiendo mucho, es grande.. Pensé que era mas pequeño, pero es perfecto!
