AVOID. E-WASTE.
This laptop barely functions even when you buy it with the intent of flashing Linux on it. Tried Arch, Debian, then finally Gentoo on this machine. Even running things really minimally didn't take away from the horrific touchpad. The keyboard feels mushy and terrible, the materials it is made out of will NOT last, it is not very durable. The battery life is fine? I guess? It's so slow, like no matter what, it's extremely slow. The design is so flawed due to how they have the keyboard and mousepad oriented, you touch it by accident. Finally, this product is NOT easy to use. The ease of use factor is 0 considering using Windows 10 / 11 on this thing would make me wanna uninstall my IRL operating system. Linux usage is a MUST to get this thing even feeling OKAY. And even then, why spend this much when you could just buy a Thinkpad and avoid the e-waste? Plus, you'd get a MUCH more repair friendly, and usable machine.

pretty good!
it does the job relatively well. only complaint is that its slightly slow, but its a very easy fix, just buy some new RAM for it. its relatively cheap. but this is decent quality for how much it was.

Difficult to use
I was used to my HP laptop, but it had some problems, but the Gateway was the most ďifficult computer I ever owned. It goes dark and wants me to sign back in. Every time I have to reconnect to the internet. I can't get it to sinc so I have no emails or Facebook friends, etc. I can't get it to send on Messenger. I will keep trying, but I'm not very hopeful that I will not return it.

Broken Charger
Computer was in great shape, however the charger had one of its 110v blades bent over at about 45 degrees. When I tried to straighten it, the blade broke. I cant find a replacement charger. I dont want to return the entire computer, I am hoping customer service will read this and contact me.

Defective laptop
I run a small business that relies on a laptop/computer. I really needed this laptop to work out as it was bought as a quick replacement for a laptop that had broke. However this wasn't the case, unpackaging was surprising, there was a smaller box in a bigger box without proper packaging material instantly I know the laptop bounced around duration. The laptop itself was not in a contain box it was wrapped in bubble wrapping, then placed in a large box without any material to keep it secure, that box was placed in a larger box with a little bit of paper. Instantly I saw caution to a problem waiting to happen. Upon starting the laptop up I had difficulty selecting language at the initial setup, it wouldn't allow me to select my region I couldn't gain any kind of access into the laptop, it wouldn't even allow me to add Wi-Fi connection. I tried several times tried to reaching out to customer service no luck, I decided the same day pack it up and send it back. I almost forgot to mention how the screen seems like it had loose screws because it wobbled really easy on slight movement. Totally disappointed in this purchase. Currently waiting for UPS to pick it up now.
