Review: Perfect for its price, and quality is amazing - Item is easy to install, Bright light and the options of having different light color and brightness is perfect. Its dimmable and easy to use with GOOGLE home System. I have been using these Lights for almost 2 months now. The fixture it-self has a matte finish on it, which is perfect for my sheetrock ceiling. It does not flicker when dimming. It's cheap for the price and yet the quality feels like it's an expensive product!
Review: Well priced great quality - Great quality, easy to install, much brighter than traditional canned recessed lighting. One note: some saying you don’t have to remove the can if replacing traditional canned recess lights. The issue with this approach is that on most canned light assemblies you only have two wires from the junction box to the fixture: one hot and neutral. You really should add a ground wire for the new LED light / junction box. It will likely work without the ground but for reasons of safety and code compliance it’s better to run the ground. Since the metal CAN is grounded you could possibly get by with just using a sheet metal screw and tapping directly into the side of the CAN for your ground wire; however, I still prefer attaching directly inside the junction box which may also be necessary depending on local electrical codes. Connecting the ground directly to the CAN via a sheet metal screw seems like a bit of a hack to me versus directly in the junction box. The new LED lights include a connection for a ground wire in their junction box. Also removing the can makes it easier to install and a better place for the spring based clips on the new LED light to grab onto the ceiling. After removing the can you don’t need to reinstall it. To replace a traditional canned recess light: 1) remove the bulb and the trim assembly (usually secured to the fixture using springs that are easily removed) 2) loosen the fixture - usually held on by a wing nut to the metal can 3) pull the fixture down and cut the wires as close to the fixture (where the bulb screws in) as possible (reuse these wires). The hot / black wire also branches off and likely attaches to the side of the CAN via a thermal protection switch and needs to be cut or removed here as well. You can now remove the fixture and leave the wires dangling. The fixture can be discarded and won’t be needed. 4) remove the metal CAN - held on by screws towards the bottom or the can (usually four or five). You will also need to detach the metal conduit from the top of the can - held in by a clip of some kind. You can discard the CAN - no longer needed. 5) now you are left with a conduit dangling from the junction box and with two wires - hot and neutral (black and white). 6) open the cover of the junction box and add a ground wire - just use the existing conduit and thread the new wire into the conduit (feed from the junction box - it’s easier). For code compliance use green wire / #14 is fine. Use the right kind of wire rated for this purpose (proper insulation, etc.). Since running in the conduit don’t use bare copper wire - use insulated green wire. Braided copper wire is easier to run. 7) strip the wire on both ends. Attach in the existing junction box from the old canned light. You may need to use a wire nut or a new wago style wire connector if existing one has no additional slots). 8) Attach all three wires into the new junction box for the led lights. I use the existing wire / conduit (where I added the third ground wire) and simply pushed the conduit inside the new junction box after mounting. I’m sure you could likely find an adapter to properly secure the conduit into the new junction box if desired (I didn’t bother). 9) finish mounting and install per manufacturer guidelines As noted removing the old CAN makes installing the new light easier. This also gives you access to the CAN assembly junction box so you can add the 3rd green ground wire. Removing the old CAN/fixture is easy and takes less than 10 minutes (quicker once you’ve done a few). Best to follow electrical codes and do the job right.

**Q: My existing lights are connected with  E26 screw ins. Is there an adapter available or will I need to remove the cans and E26’s?**
A: Because of the way these light are built, you will not need cans; they can be place on Sheetrock or any type of ceiling with thickness up to 3/4 inches; it has a spring loaded two clamps.

**Q: How thick of a ceiling can these light install into? I’m worried my plaster ceiling is too thick for these to work**
A: I even installed them in 1 layer of plaster with 2 layers of 1/2 drywall. It was fine. As long there's not a dance floor above, it will be fine. Make sure to keep these blue plastic sleeves on the spring tensioners, and the hole needs to be precisely like the template, I know plaster roll try to crumble away so it's good to use a whole side designed for plaster, with carbide/diamond tips. Also when you use a drill with a hole so make sure to keep a handle on as well otherwise your drill will twist your wrists out.

**Q: What spacing should I place the 6” lights at?**
A: Depends on how big the room, ceiling etc.

**Q: what size hole saw do I need to buy to install the 6 inch lights?**
A: 6-1/8”
